DiscoverCars.Com-Sponsored Latvian National Curling Team Competed in the World Mixed Curling Championship
DiscoverCars.com recently sponsored the Latvian National Curling Team to compete in the World Mixed Curling Championship which took place October 15-22, 2022 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The team won five round-robin games while losing three, placing fifth place in Group B and 17th place overall. Had they won just one more game, they'd have made the knockout stage. This is the best showing the Latvian National Team has had in the Mixed Curling Championships — a feat of which our team at DiscoverCars.com is extremely proud.
We are even more proud that the skip (captain) of the team, Renārs Freidensons, is also a member of our team (our Head of Airline Partnerships).
We provided the team with a rental car from one of our suppliers in Scotland, naturally. The spacious MG car was in great condition and even in the colors of the Latvian flag! It allowed them to easily travel between the airport, hotel, and event as well as do some sightseeing between the games.
Congratulations to the team! We look forward to watching them compete next year and wish them luck in their attempt to win it all!
