DiscoverCars.com Summer Travel Photo Contest
And the winner is… Brigitte Redel from Nothing Familiar! Her summer sunset overlooking the magical Meteora in Greece got the highest score of 7.9 points out of 10 for its composition, lighting, and the travel vibes it gives of the broad opportunities and beautiful places that are out there in the world.

Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
- The Summer Travel Photo Contest ("Contest") is open to all.
2. Contest Theme
- The theme of the contest is "Summer Travel."
- All photographs submitted must have been taken during the summer of 2023.
- All photographs must be submitted in digital form in JPEG, JPG or PNG format.
- All photographs must have visible metadata.
- All photographs considered by the judges to be heavily edited will be disqualified.
3. Submission Limit
- Each participant is allowed to submit only one photograph.
- Entries must be accompanied by a caption in English describing the photograph.
4. Entry Limit
- The contest will accept a maximum of 500 entries. Any entries received after this limit has been reached will be declined.
- If any entries are disqualified, an equivalent number of declined entries will be accepted in the order they were received.
5. Judging
- There will be 5 judges responsible for reviewing and scoring the entries.
- Each judge will evaluate an equal number of photographs (and a maximum of 100).
- Judges will choose the best 3 photographs from their set, leading to a total of 15 finalist photographs.
- Judges will score the 15 finalist photographs individually.
6. Scoring Criteria
- Judges will score the 15 finalist photographs based on creativity (25%), composition (25%), relevance to the theme (25%), and overall quality (25%).
- The judging process will be conducted anonymously, and decisions will be final and binding.
- In case of a tie, the photographs will be scored again.
7. Awards
The following award will be given to the winner:
- 200 Euros in Booking Credits from DiscoverCars.com.
8. Public Display of Entries
- All submitted entries, including the finalist photographs, may be displayed on the company's website, social media channels, and other promotional materials with the appropriate mention to the participant.
9. Ownership and Usage Rights
- Participants retain ownership of their photographs.
- By entering the contest, participants grant AS Discover Car Hire a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their photographs for promotional purposes.
10. Copyright Notice
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that their entries do not infringe upon any
copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of third parties.
11. Disqualification
- Any entry that violates these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
12. Submission Deadline
- The deadline for submitting entries is November 29, 2023.
13. Winner Announcement
- The winner will be announced on December 15, 2023, on the company's website and
through its social media channels.
14. Prizes
- Prize distribution will occur on the same day the winner is announced.
- The prize will be credited using the email address the winning entrant used for submitting their entry.
15. General Terms
- The company reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest at its discretion.
- The company will not be responsible for any technical issues, lost or delayed entries, or any other problems that may affect the contest.
- Participants agree to abide by all the rules and decisions made by the company in the course of the contest.
- The company will not be responsible for any participant entering the contest unlawfully or otherwise in breach of local law. You are advised to check or seek advice on your local law before entering the contest.
