Friends Referral Program
1. Under the Friends Referral Program, existing customers of DiscoverCars.com, who have previously made a booking (the “Advocate”) are invited to earn Booking Credit by inviting their friends (the “Friend”) to make use of the DiscoverCars.com online car rental reservation service.
2. The Advocate shares the referral link as provided on the DiscoverCars.com website or mobile application (the “Referral Link”). The Friends Referral Program is structured so that Friends receive a referral Booking Credit upon using the Referral Link to make a booking, and Advocates receive Booking Credit after the Friend successfully completes their rental (after successful vehicle drop-off).
3. The referral Booking Credit will be credited to the Friend’s user account. It can be applied to payments made through the DiscoverCars.com website and Discover Cars mobile application, excluding any payments made directly to car rental suppliers.
4. Each Friend may only make use of a Referral Link once to create a profile on the DiscoverCars.com platform and receive referral Booking Credit, regardless of whether the Friend received or had access to multiple Referral Links from different Advocates.
5. The Advocate and Friend must be separate individuals. The same person cannot act as both Advocate and Friend.
6. The Advocate will receive their Booking Credit after the rental booked by the Friend has been completed successfully and all conditions have been met.
7. The amount of referral Booking Credit granted to the Friend and Booking Credit granted to the Advocate is determined at the sole discretion of DiscoverCars.com and may vary.
8. The Friends Referral Program is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. Any commercial use is strictly prohibited.
9. DiscoverCars.com reserves the right to evaluate the eligibility of the Friend’s booking before issuing the Booking Credit to the Advocate.
10. The Booking Credit will be available to the Advocate in the "Account" section of their user profile on the DiscoverCars.com platform.
11. The referral Booking Credit will be available to the Friend in the "Account" section of the user’s profile after registration on the DiscoverCars.com platform or in the DiscoverCars.com mobile application.
12. The referral Booking Credit can be used for multiple bookings until the balance is exhausted.
13. The Advocate must share or publish the Referral Link responsibly, ensuring that recipients are genuine travelers who appreciate the invitation. The Referral Link must not be shared in a manner that violates applicable anti-spam principles and laws. The Advocate is not entitled to use the Referral Link in or for paid promotions, including online advertising.
14. The Advocate shall indemnify and hold DiscoverCars.com, its directors, officers, employees, shareholders, agents and successors harmless from and against any claims that may arise from any unlawful forwarding or sharing of the Referral Link.
15. The referral Booking Credit and Booking Credit are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other form of credit. Booking Credit is not available for purchase and cannot be utilized anywhere else except DiscoverCars.com.
16. The Referral Link and Booking Credit may have an expiration date, as determined by DiscoverCars.com. All users should check their accounts for specific details.
17. DiscoverCars.com reserves the right to modify or terminate the Friends Referral Program at any time, with or without notice to the participants.
18. Any suspected abuse or fraud in connection with the Friend Referral Program or Referral Links, referral Booking Credit or Booking Credit, will result in the withdrawal and forfeiture of Referral Links, referral Booking Credit and Booking Credit and may lead to Advocate’s and Friend’s account suspension or termination, at the discretion of the DiscoverCars.com.
19. Any changes to the Friends Referral Program, including modifications, suspensions, or terminations, will be communicated to users through the DiscoverCars.com website, mobile application, user profiles or email. It is the user’s responsibility to review these communications to stay informed about the program’s terms.
20. Participation in the Friends Referral Program is subject to the Company’s Privacy Policy. By participating, Advocates and Friends consent to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal data as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Users can review the Privacy Policy on the DiscoverCars.com website to understand how their data is managed.
21. Certain types of bookings or geographical regions may be excluded from the Friends Referral Program at DiscoverCars.com’s discretion. These exclusions will be detailed on the DiscoverCars.com website or communicated directly to users.
22. Referral Booking Credit cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, or offers provided by DiscoverCars.com unless explicitly stated otherwise. Each booking must adhere to the terms and conditions of the specific offer being used.
23. If a Friend cancels their booking, the Advocate will not receive the Booking Credit. If the Advocate has already received the bonus for a booking that is subsequently canceled, DiscoverCars.com reserves the right to revoke the Booking Credit from the Advocate’s account.
24. All claims and inquiries regarding the Friends Referral Program will be handled by the DiscoverCars.com customer support team. Users can contact the support team through the DiscoverCars.com website or mobile application for assistance with any issues related to the Friends Referral Program.
25. The Friends Referral Program is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates. Any disputes arising from the program will be resolved under these laws.
26. In the event of a dispute regarding the Friends Referral Program, the Company’s decision will be final and binding.
27. By participating in the Friends Referral Program, users agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Participation in the program constitutes acceptance of these terms.
