the beaches were great - all a little different; very relaxed atmosphere; one thing that comes to mind is signage - either not there or very difficult to find; restaurants were great - reflective of the friendly people - food was great as well; hiking - foliage fantastic

The island absolutely requires a rental car if you intend to get about. Even the cost of a car for several days will be cheaper than a one way taxi trip most of the time (location depending). Good roads and easy to navigate.

Guadeloupe was superb! The nature and the people are wonderful. Anse Castalia, Trou Man Louis, Pointe des Chateaux, Grand Anse in Deshaies, Plage de la Perle (the restaurant Chez Ninette on the beach was incredible). Definitely need a car to visit all the lovely places. Just the drive along the western coast is worth it. Cannot miss La Soufriere!

Exploring Basse Terre was incredible. Loved driving all the different farm roads and roads through the jungle finding beaches and trails to explore. Also the coconut sorbet changed my life and I wish we had this at home :)

Our trip was great,we went to the beach at Bouillante where the water is very hot ,it is said that the water is from the "soufrière " which is a volcano. We also went to different rivers it was fun.

We enjoyed the botanic gardens, the nature reserves and rain forest walk, and going to see the fish and coral around Pigeon Island.

WE have travelled throughout the whole island, one of the best was definitely botanical garden. I would recommend that to everyone.
