Pros: The agent that helped us was with Europcar actually. We could not find an “Ace rent a car” at the airport. But they were very helpful!

Cons: I wasn’t sure where to find them, or if I had the right place (or was game to the first rental agent that got hold)

Cons: It takes forever to do useless paper work plus an extra $200.00 usd for insurance rip off most places I rent cars from I do the paperwork on line and you don’t need an agent what a waste of time will never rent from here. I found a place in Quintana Roo that charges by the day and everything included and delivered to your hotel or location

Pros: Nothing at all

Cons: They are an unscrupulous agency. We purchased insurance through DiscoverCars and it was not recognized so we were charged an extra 778 USD in order to get the car. We had already paid DiscoverCars over 900 USD so were held hostage by this.

Pros: The shuttle to the airport and from the airport

Cons: ACE was operated under Mex Rent a car. Initially it was very difficult to find the service desk at the airport. It was until we looked closely at the voucher that in small prints it listed ACE to be under Mex Rent a car. Arriving at the rental office, it took them 2 hours to service 3 people. They also did not accept the full coverage for the booking. I was required to pay an extra $200 on top of my reservation. The vehicle we had no washer fluid which made it inconvenient to drive.

Cons: I ended up having to pay twice the amount I had booked, because additional insurance was required. This was not clear at all when making the reservation. The car also didn't have a luggage cover. According to the rental company, this was not included in the price. Again, this was not clear in the website at all. There was no one at the desk when we arrived at the counter, and the provided numbers did not work. We ended up having to ask another rental company to drive us to the pickup location

Pros: Nothing!! They are the worse car rental ever. Don’t rent there

Cons: Worse service ever! There were no cars available, so instead of offering something similar to my rental (luxury Van, Suburvan) they offered 2 compact cars!! The manager was rude, he even shouted at me. I tried to cancel the reservation at that time, but I couldn’t because discover cars won’t let me, and they couldn’t do it in their system. So after 3 weeks of waiting, I still have no answer from discover cars, and I haven’t seen my money back as well.

Pros: Competitive price (if you don't take into account the "mandatory" insurance). The car was ok, and air conditionning was working well (very important in Yucatan).

Cons: When I took the car, I was forced to subscribe for a mandatory insurance (350€ for 17 days !) that I was not aware before (other renters don't do this, and my credit card already covers me for that). 45 minutes at the counter to pick up the car (only 2 people before me). Car was given with half gas, so I had to drop it off with half gas too, which is nearly impossible. At the drop off, the employee was more interested in his online chess game than me...

Cons: Ace is nowhere to be found in the Cancun Airport. I spent 20 minutes on the phone waiting for the shuttle service with no answer. Just take a cab or rent a car from a place that is actually in the airport.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 755.00 - € 2550.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 22 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Insurance
Insurance is accepted only if issued in the following country(ies): Mexico.
More details about self-insurance requirements are available from the car rental company's reservation office.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 240 minutes.
