Rugged Rental is the ACE vehicle provider in Salt Lake City. ACE Rent a Car is a short shuttle ride from the terminal. Free shuttle service is provided. Please call our office at 1-800-977-9111 upon arrival to dispatch the shuttle van which runs on demand and then proceed to the shuttle stop area. The off airport rental car shuttle stop is located just outside the rental car lobby. Look for the blue "off-airport rental shuttle" signs to find the right place. Pros: I wouldn’t know. I had Covid. But the agents I spoke to from Ace rental were great. They have nothing to do with DiscoverCars. Although they did tell me they have LOTS of complaints from people who rent from DiscoverCars I’m giving Ace 10s because I never saw their cars

Pros: Excellent!

Cons: Liked everything about service and agents at Ace. Only negative about my experience was: "who do I call with questions", DiscoverCars.com or Ace Rent-a-car? Example: when I arrived at destination, called DiscoverCars for directions to Ace. They told me to call Ace but I didn't have a phone number. Same problem when I book thru Priceline for a hotel. Who do you call with questions; Priceline or the hotel?

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage (except for local residents), Vehicle registration fee, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): USA.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, Insurance.
Insurance
If opting to self-insure, the renter must have a full coverage policy that includes the deductible, physical damage, and liability.
In case the customer does not have one of the insurances, mentioned above, the customer will need to purchase insurance at the counter. More details about self-insurance requirements are available from the car rental company's reservation office.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.

Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following country: Mexico.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
