Pros: The employee was professional.

Cons: The employee was very productive but he was the only person there managing a large queue. I showed up at the booked time and still had to wait for over an hour. They charged me for extra insurance (100 euros) for not having credit card (only debit) which was not clearly stated during booking. Then for a small scratch charged again 80 euros on admin fees. Terrible experience.

Pros: Brand new car

Cons: Your staff and policies are made to scam customers out of the incredible amounts of funds deposit as a guarantee. I still have not received any answer from your company and your customer service is terrible. I am so sad I rented with you guys. No information was given on who to call in case or assistance needed, nothing. I had to start my trip hoping nothing would happen. I will never ever rent back with you guys, nor I will never recommend you to anyone.

Pros: Car was clean and ran well.

Cons: Customer service was terrible. Addcar are a small cowboy job would stick with the bigger companies. Tried to pin damage on us they hadn’t noted in assessment luckily we had taken pictures of said damage before we left car park. Also made big issue of being return time to then not even be on time themselves. Everyone in Croatia was very nice apart from these people. AVOID!

Cons: Discovercar email told me an Addcar rep would be waiting for me at the airport. Tere wasnºt one. I waited 20 minutes and no one came. I called Addcar and was told their office is across the road from the airport. It was not a long walk, but there is no path on the main road, and tough if you have heavy baggage.

Cons: Meet and greet did not happen - we were left wondering where they were and had to find them ourselves. Its not easy to get to them from the airport with luggage - given heat. distance and very busy roads to cross with no pedestrian crossing.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
If the customer wishes to use Debit cards, he/she will be required to purchase Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW).

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Geographical restrictions
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, European Union.
In order to travel to the following country(ies):Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, customer must purchase the following insurance policy(ies): Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW).
Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
