Pros: Most importantly, people in Split airport Alamo rental point are very honest - they return to me and my wife our wallets with cards/documents and all the money inside, even cash that was laying in the car separately (don’t ask why we so stupidly left it all there :)). On picking up the car, gentlemen on the register helped me without any rushing to get my cards work for 1 straight hr (tip to Ukrainians - use the card to purchase something without paypass to activate it before you go to rentals)

Cons: Full to full fuel policy that was pre-booke with discovercars in transformed to 6/8 tank to 6/8 in alamo. Also, 2 child boosters that were ordered I had to pick up from other company’s desk for cash (and they did not have any isofixes on them)

Pros: Good English speaking agent who helped us. Help with the inspection of the vehicle and clear instructions about the return of the car.

Cons: The car was fueled half way. We had to do the same on return, which was a bit harder to do. But no big deal.

Cons: We booked a seat for a 1 year old and when we arrived they had no seat but said they would refund the cost which is totally unacceptable. They told us to go to another desk for another company to rent a seat, they didn’t have the age appropriate seat. We had to return the first one as it couldn’t be secured safely to the car and the only option we were left with wasn’t ideal resulting in us avoiding using the car where we could. This caused us to arrive at 11:30pm at our destination.

Pros: Horrible! Apparently a Mazda is the same category as BMW! The car was super late. We waited standing in the sun and after all of this, it can filthy filthy dirty with no fuel. They asked us for more money for insurance. Discover cars is a joke!

Cons: The fuel tank was not full by picking up! We had to make a photo to make sure when we gave the car back that it was on that level where the fuel was when we pick it up. The car showed a lot of small damages, and yet we were still asked for making an extra insurance in case of accident, therefor cashing in more money for this car.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Deductible/excess will be charged per damage.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following payment methods are accepted: Diners, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, European Union, North Macedonia.

The purchase of the following insurance(s): Third Party Liability (TPL) is mandatory.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains.

Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.

During winter season (from 15.11 until 15.04) Winter tires are included in price.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
