Pros: Alamo were amazing. The two representatives that received us managed to dig us out of an absolute mess caused by misunderstanding / communication around payment method for the deposit and remaining fees, which Discover Cars said they flat-out couldn't do anything about. The car itself was great, and the parking was easy enough to find and access, including returning outside of business hours.

Cons: Zero. Nothing bad to say.

Pros: They were very helpful and went above & beyond to help us when our Airline canceled our flight resulting in a need to amend original rental car booking.

Cons: They were initially very slow when it came to picking up the car. They had none of the pre-checkin information which was completed online before our flight arrived.

Pros: I hate this company as the car desk representative was full of smoking smell and rude, misleading information was given and lazy.

Cons: I was abused by the desk representative Tracy and she ruin my mood of my holiday trip. She was rude and unfriendly and refuse to give me the contact information of the head office or the manager and never get back to this company again.

Pros: Car was clean and tank was full. That is it, will never purchase from Alamo in the future.

Cons: Took forever to be served, one agent at desk in evening and he was very slow. Once served found the invoice we received wasn't even close to what we were going to be charged (at least $300aud more) he kept adding charges, we decided not to get insurance, he proceeded to use scare tactics, didnt work. Booking credit was not accepted by agent, although it was applied to initial invoice, we still have credit we will never use. Terrible, will avoid in future.

Pros: From start to finish hiring a car with Alamo was so easy. The price was very good, we got a great Toyota Corolla and added a car seat and booster seat. The customer service ladies at the airport were amazing. They sent confirmation emails in advance and were very responsive to all my queries. Car collection and drop was so quick and efficient. We arrived after hours so they sent information on how to collect the key with visual sheets that had photos and really easy instructions. 10/10!

Cons: they wanted to us to sign that the car was in good repair at the desk, before we had even seen the car. When we dropped the car off no one was there to check the car over.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 3195.00 - € 3810.00), Premium location fee, Vehicle registration fee, Contract fee, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, credit card, valid driver license, booking voucher. Renters from the following country(ies): Australia must provide the following documents: passport, credit card, valid driver license, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.
Deposit and deductible policy
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, MasterCard debit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

Cash, Cheques, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
It is forbidden to drive to some locations in the country as well as on some specific roads. For more information, please contact the rental office.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.


All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.

Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information

In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
