Pros: Drop off was swift, although nothing to sign and confirm

Cons: Discover Cars fine but Alamo and hired car not: Android Auto/Apple Carplay was disabled and needed a licence from main dealer, leaving us without sat nav and having to buy our own phone cradle. Pick up process was chaotic with no one to speak to, mismanaged traffic jam and car hire staff driving dangerously. Selected car not available. Damage to all panels. No reversing camera.

Pros: Guys were polite, car was fine but was not the one we reserved.

Cons: When we arrived, our car was not there. An hour later, it was still not there. It was delayed "because there was a problem with the car wash". We waited an hour and three quarters, before being told our car would still be delayed for a long time. It was ridiculous. Eventually the guy took pity on us and gave us another car, just so we could leave. All this in 40 degree heat, surrounded by cars and concrete. Absolute nightmare.

Cons: Not accepting regular bank cards - had to pay extra since I don't have a credit card. I was lied by the person giving me the car about fuel. He said it's full although the fuel display didn't show full. I trusted him and didn't check it. After driving 280~km I filled up the car and calculated if the tank was full when we got the car. Turned out it really wasn't full at that moment. I was missing at least 10 liters. In the end when giving car away I didn't have much support.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 700.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, 2 proofs of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Deductible/excess will be charged per damage.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, MasterCard debit card.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
crossing country borders is available on previous request at least 7 days before the pick up date.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: European Union. Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine. The purchase of the following insurance(s): Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is mandatory.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Roof rack, Snow chains.

Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.

Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Albania.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
