Pros: Great value to money, friendly rental agents.

Cons: Customer service (directly with pick up branch) was not responsive. Parking sensor of car was missing (with only 3k on the clock), but we could not reach the agents.

Cons: I booked a premium car (Volvo) and since I didn't have a credit card I was not allowed to take a premium one, something I totally understand, but I didn't like the fact that the price remained the same while giving me a car that was not premium a premium one. Pros: We didn't like anything with Alamo

Cons: Alamo has the worst customer relationship management.The rental agent at Barcelona office was so rude,didn't show the slightest interest in helping us,only wanted to remove us from the office.He left two families with little children to be without a car which was planned for our trip.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: They gave us an electric vehicle instead, when we rented a Volvo xc-40 or similar because they cancelled our original reservation. Then it took us all day to get to our next destination because we had to charge the vehicle at multiple stops. They told us there were fast charging stations we could find with the an app they gave us, but they failed to inform us that as American passport holders cannot register to have an account to pay for Repsol charging services (through Waymo).

Rate includes

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Personal Accident Insurance, Vehicle registration fee, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.

Rate excludes

The following surcharges may apply: Premium Location surcharge.

Driver requirements

Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, return flight ticket, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), flight information.

To rent the following vehicle category(ies): Luxury, Premium, Cabrios, Special, Prestige, you must provide the following document(s) at pickup: flight information, local address (apartment; hotel; villa; etc.).

Insurance

The renter can use his/her own insurance, but if this insurance is declined or the renter doesn't bring his/her own insurance, the following insurance type(s):Partial Damage Waiver (PDW), Roadside Assistance will be available at the rental desk for an additional charge.
More details about self-insurance requirements are available from the car rental company's reservation office.
If no insurance option is chosen, the renter is responsible for the full value of the vehicle, passenger liability, and third party liability.

Deposit and deductible policy

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.

The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

Cross-border policy

Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Written permission from the rental company is required.
Crossing country borders to Andorra, Portugal, Gibraltar is free of charge. Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Switzerland.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Optional extras and services

Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers. Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.

Fuel policy

The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Additional information

Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.

Rental period

The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.

Business hours

Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
The grace period will be honored only during business hours.
