Did not get the car I wanted or something of same value but instead got downgraded (same price and no apologies). Car made some annoying A/C noises, quite bothersome during Summer when its very hot. Insurance options are way to pricey for car value. Not recommended at all.

Cons: When I asked for a taxi back to our hotel after returning the car, they called me a private driver rather than a taxi and they were 25 euros, rather than the 16 euro taxi.

Cons: Everything else. We pleaded with them to take us to the airport in the shuttle promptly so we would not miss our flight. They refused, making my husband go into the office to talk with someone. When the shuttle finally departed, the driver would not take us to the departures area but left us in a parking lot. Consequently, we missed the check-in window for our flight. This treatment was extremely unprofessional, and we hold ANC/Discover responsible for financial damages incurred.

Once we landed, i called contact i had been given and within few mins, our ride to car rental office arrived to pick up us. It was easy and quite fast to arrange all the things, no issues with English at all. Car return occurred also very quickly with no issues. Quite higher credit card deposit was released quite quickly though. Best price offered. Very polite customer service, we even communicated via WhatsApp.

Cons: They aren't located at the airport and I had to call them and wait for them to come pick us up, which was not ideal after long travels to get there. Also, they weren't super friendly and seem used to having disgruntled clients and meeting them with disgruntled attitudes. Three of us rented cars through Discover.com -- one used Hertz without an issue, the other two of us went with ANC and would not use them again.

Pros: They were quick and adaptive in picking us up at the airport, and dropping us off (despite the latter being before their opening hours). The car was clean and tidy, and there were no issues or disagreements concerning the state upon returning.

Cons: In the papers sent to us by DiscoverCars, it was stated that we should find ANC's office in the airport upon landing, after which we would be driven to the main office. ANC doesn't have any office at all in the airport though, which we only found out after walking back and forth several times without finding them. Upon calling them, however, they were friendly, and quickly sent someone to pick us up.

When I returned the car and explained the situation they did give me another rental but I heard the colleague say in Portuguese that they knew the brakes were bad. They didn’t know I understood the language and so I responded and said why would you guys give me a car knowing the brakes were faulty. The associate “Nuno” said they didn’t think it was that bad. I had to take time out of my trip to get a new car.

Flight delays caused some concern as the rental policy pickup window is very short, customer service eventually referred me directly to the rental company to address the issue which was challenging mid travel.

We waited for about 45 minutes before turning on our phone data to make a call to the company. Once we called they sent a driver right away and service from there on was great. Also found the jump in price from standard to automatic to be very surprising.

Foi a viagem toda a acelerar e a escrever SMS pelo WhatsApp. Eu e a minha mulher chegámos mal dispostos ao aeroporto com a condução.Felizmente a minha filha não vomitou. O casal atrás de nós disse que parecíamos que estávamos num Safari no Quénia ou num Rally no Sri Lanka. Nas curvas acelerava, parecia que íamos fazer a curva a 2 rodas. Péssimo.

Also car should have some local driving info in the car. Example....due to not knowing about parking restrictions in Ponta Delgada, got a 60€ ticket. Go that extra touch for your tourist customers. It gives them more desire to return.

Since I was the first to arrive for the shuttle, I should have been serviced first. Two people who arrived after I did were looked after before me.

I went to 5 different gas stations but was unable to refill the gas. It would be helpful if ANC could notify customers that this could be an issue and suggest that they fill up gas the night before they return the car if they have an early flight

Pros: Very responsive when we realized that the SUV we were give was manual and we had requested an automatic. They provided us with two cars for a couple of days until they could get us our automatic SUV. In the end we did get the vehicle we had reserved.

Cons: That we paid deposit 500 Euro for a car, we returned it 26.6.2022 without any demaged so they told us give us full deposit back and today 4.7. we still dont have money back. First car had caput batery. We need to wait for another one and new process again.

Pros: Wonderful, our flight arrived at 2 am and they were still there to pick us up and take us to our car. Also, we had more luggage than the car would carry and they drove another van to our place to drop off our luggage. Truly went above and beyond.

Lost prepayment on DiscoverCars, and DiscoverCars did not answer the phone call, but instead recommended to write e-mail. Worst experience. Taxi and bus save my vacation.

Pros: Friendly service. Car was a bit older but in Covid times the inventory is a known challenge.

Cons: Car could have been better. Seemed over used and was very weak in terms of power, going up hills etc. I was always anticipating a break down, oil change light came on etc. Not good.
