AST is one of the several car rental companies serving Oman, one of the most popular and accessible travel destinations of the Arabian Peninsula. In Oman, the company is based in the capital Muscat but also has an office as well in the coastal resort city of Salalah, where it serves the airport of that city.
At Muscat Airport, the company will have a representative waiting for customers in the arrivals hall with a sign with their name, as it doesn’t have a desk at the airport itself.
AST, as its names suggest, also offers tours in the country in addition to rental cars. This is a great way to see the desert where it’s not safe to drive by yourself.
AST allows its vehicles to be taken to the United Arab Emirates for an additional charge, though it doesn’t offer one-way rentals outside of the country.
