AUSOCAR RENT-A-CAR at Lisbon Airport

Pros: Pricing seemed good. Easy to work with and communicate with in person. Not so great with email.

Cons: Car was a bit small for our needs, also we got swapped for a Fiat Tipo when we expected a Skoda.

Cons: Pick up and drop off process takes too long and is complicated due to the fact that you have to find them by phone. They don't always answer straight away.

Cons: Inter country fee to drive across country border seemed high but don't know if Ausocar has any control over it.

Pros: The car was in perfect conditions, it took only 5 minutes to get the car

Cons: Turned up an hour late to pick us up and that was after I tried to call 6 times. Person serving was rude and on the phone whilst dealing with us.

Cons: Rental car didn’t have required insurance papers; after endless wait, I got another car. The car was the worst rental car I have had in years: already driven for 50’000 km and making very concerning noises from the gearbox. Fortunately, it didn’t break down. Cleanliness of car was clearly below standard, as well. Car drop-off at Lisbon airport was painful, too ... another very long wait for somebody to arrive.

Cons: The car was not clean and the windows in the back were broken - couldn't be open. The car had an old fashioned radio (+cd) and could not connect to any media device or phone - this is pretty uncommon nowadays.

Cons: They weren't at the airport in time. Had to call them and wait about 15 mins for them to come, after I was looking for them for 20 mins since they weren't at the meeting point.

Pros: Not a lot. They were not very helpful when I had a problem. Dropping the car off was a nightmare and I could not find the correct location for half an hour. I was given two different drop off locations. A map of the drop off would have been very useful.

Cons: The Ausocar agent demanded 25 euros at my pickup location and demanded it in cash! I was led to believe that all the fees were paid in the contract. I beleive that I was ripped off by this agent and want my 25 euros back. He would not take the credit card for that fee and said it must be cash.The vehicle had considerable damage to the bodywork and I was concerned that I would be accused of the damage at the end of the rental period. I wish to speak with an agent so call me on 407 556 3760.

Pros: the car was ok for the price, nothing to complain about

Cons: The service itself is a disaster. You have to wait a lot to be picked up by the agent at the airport. Papers are signed in a car outside the airport that looks shady. Also, no show up at the drop off time, had to leave the car in the parking with the keys inside and lost half an hour waiting, when i should have to go to check in for my fligth already. Conclusion for me is to never hire a car from an agency not having an office rigth at the airport

Cons: a viatura tinha mais de dois anos e o tanque me entregue na reserva quando a contratação dizia que o tanque seria entregue cheio e quando devolvesse deveria estar cheio, com isso, não entreguei a viatura com o tangue na reserva pois o combustivel poderia acabar comigo na estrada.

Cons: The car had several scratches, so despite the good mechanical conditions, the car had a "bad driver look" that someone that don't know that is rent will associate with the current driver.

Cons: The car was in a horrible condition. Dents, scratches all over, radio of the car didn't work because there were no antenna. They should not rent a car on those conditions. I do not intend to use them again.

Cons: 1. 5 year old car with Km106,000 is most unusual for a rental car - though otherwise in good and clean condition 2. €25 cash only charge for 'out-of-hours' delivery? Was a surprise as not advertised in advance, plus no receipt was available!
