Cons: The service provider was awful. I only booked this car through your company due to the Amex offer and I foolishly expected Amex level service. The agent was not at the pick up point when I arrived and turned up an hour late, they then gave me a different car to the one I booked with only half a tank. The quality of the vehicle was extremely lacking and the communication with the service provider was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Poor quality car, horrible customer service, will never again

Pros: On time car delivery.

Cons: We were not informed in time or given the option online to have the car being delivered to our hotel. That would have saved us time and money because we had to go to the airport. On top of that we had to pay 25dirham extra for airport parking as they delivered the car to an airport pay parking lot.They did not reimburse me. I never got an answer to me wanting to change drop off location done through WhatsApp as they prefer to communicate through WhatsApp. Nor did my email question got answered.

Cons: The jeep's response to the accelerator was extremely sluggish, causing delays in movement. Each time the vehicle started moving, it would shake and jerk forward noticeably. This was not only uncomfortable but also concerning in terms of safety. Moreover, the car stalled twice at traffic lights, adding to the inconvenience and frustration. I would caution potential customers to reconsider renting from "Autostrad Rent A Car" based on this experience.

Pros: scam car rental supplier, they don’t clearly inform you that they don’t cover parking fees in their contract while other suppliers do, neither inform you about the basic parking rules so you get parking fines and they get 30% commission on each fine!! I’ve been fined 800 AED for parking, out of which 200 aed commission for Autostrad and when I enquired about it they just said that the contract states that extras will be charged to the client.

Cons: that they didn’t mention the parking coverage clearly so that the client get fined then get commission on each fine

Cons: This company don’t have a desk in the airport and they were demanding that to send by WhatsApp or email copies of my passport, driver license and credit card. These are sensitive documents and for obvious safety reasons I refused to send it before. Weren’t clear in previous contacts and their office is 40min away from airport just to sign contract. If I know this before travel I cancelled the reservation. Only told at the airport this important info. I will present a formal claim in your site.

Pros: The professionalism and efficiency of the manager at Abu Dhabi Mall on the day after the drop off (Oct 9). I was supposed to go to police station to get a report of the damages for insurance, but he was the first reasonable one, who said that they'll send the car back to the pick up spot and get it approved there. If he had been at the desk the day before, I would have saved 3 hours of all the hassle!

Cons: When I went to pick up the car from the rental desk, they had no idea that I had booked a car through Discover Car Hire. They also charged me an extra insurance, which I realized afterwards. When I was returning the car to another spot, they had no idea of the reservation either. They also found some bumps on the top of the car and said I'll need a police report to get them covered by the insurance, or pay it myself. It took 2,5 hours to drop off the car and I had to come back the next day to go

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 780.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, VAT (value added tax).
Rate excludes
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
Mileage policy
Mileage depends on the rental period.
The cost for additional mileage (mileage extension) depends on the vehicle type.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 99 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country. Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name.
All documents must be issued in the same country.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age).

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 240 minutes.
