Pros: Mohammed gave us very good informations of Sansibar and how to drive, and how to deal with the police if they stop you.

Cons: They come to pick you up at the airport because the office is outside the airport (only 600m), but they didn’t inform us so we were first looking for the office at the airport.

Cons: Worst car rental experience ever. Driver 3 hours late for the pickup, the local driving license has been given to us with 2 days delay, the owner tried to make us bieleve that was ok to drive this way. When we brought back the car, no paper given given to state the car, neither any check, I had to ask multiple times to get a paper that states that the car is in the same state than when we rented it.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 500 km per rental, First additional driver, Additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 500.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Premium Location fee, Free modifications, State Tax.

Mileage policy

Mileage depends on the rental period.
For rentals lasting 1 to 6 days, mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
For rentals more than 7 days mileage is unlimited.
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional km.
Details are available at the car rental company's reservation office.

Driver requirements

Minimum rental age is 20 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 65 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Roman, English alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, ID card, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
It is mandatory to have a Local Driver’s Permit. It can be purchased at the rental desk at the time of pick-up.

Deposit and deductible policy

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

Payment policy

At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, Maestro credit card, American Express credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

Cash, Cheques, Diners, Debit cards, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Cross-border policy

Driving vehicles to Tanzania game parks is not allowed.

Optional extras and services

Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

The first additional driver is allowed free of charge.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.

Fuel policy

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Additional information

The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.

Business hours

Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 0 minutes.
