AXA Rent a Car
Axa is a car rental company in the southeastern European country of Romania, one of Europe’s most diverse and fastest-growing travel destinations. The company, which was founded in 2011, is based in the Transylvanian city of Cluj-Napoca, the second-largest city in the country. It also has offices in Bucharest (including Otopeni Airport, the main airport in the country), Sibiu, Timisoara, and Tirgu Mures.
The company, like most rental companies in Romania, doesn’t accept debit cards for leaving the security deposit. You’ll have to have a credit card to pick up the car. It does allow its vehicles to be taken outside of Romania, but only to other EU countries including Bulgaria, Greece, and Hungary, but at an additional cost. Notably, this means you can’t travel to Serbia with one of AXA’s rental cars.
AXA has a fleet of over 300 vehicles which includes most sizes of cars from economy to vans.
