Pros: Despite the numerous problems, a couple of staff members did their best to find a solution
Cons: First problem was the car booked was not available, despite the booking being made well over 3 months in advance. The Easter weekend was cited as the reason. Second issue was the figures on the contract from Bluu did not match those provided by Discover Cars. We were eventually given an alternative vehicle that was not ideal for our purposes, but adequate. Bluu arranged to bring a more appropriate vehicle to us the next day, which to be fair, they did (in Hermanus). Replacement was a little old!
Pros: The agent working on signing the contract was very polite and helpful
Cons: They started very nicely, but upon returning the car, they tried to blame me for scratches on the rim that was not made by me and was there from the beginning. The lady didn't put it on the form and I didn't notice that. It is practically impossible to scratch the rim without having any problem with car paint!
Pros: Great on pick up
Cons: Tried to say there were scratches when there clearly was not - trying to charge for wear and tear / driving marks such as minor stone chips to bonnet etc. I had to argue with them. Felt like the agents were on commission to find extra money.

Rental Conditions

A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of South Africa.
For local renters mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
The cost for additional mileage (mileage extension) depends on the vehicle type.
Details are available at the car rental company's reservation office.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.
For the Economy, Luxury, Intermediate, Premium car group, a minimum of two credit cards issued on the main driver's name are required.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
For an additional charge of 2030 ZAR, crossing country borders is available to the following country(ies): Botswana, Namibia.
Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following countries: Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia.
One Way rentals are available only within the state.
International one-way rentals are not available.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
