Its name might not make it stand out too much, but CarRent is a reasonably popular and well-rated company providing car rental services in the southeastern European nation of Bulgaria. In the country, the company serves both its capital and largest city, Sofia, as well as the popular holiday resort town of Burgas on the country’s Black Sea coast, having offices near the airports of both cities, Sofia International and Bourgas Airport. The company was founded in 2004 and has expanded over the past 20 years to have a fleet of all different types of vehicles, but especially a lot of economy cars.
CarRent allows customers to take their cars to neighboring countries including North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Greece, and Turkey. The company charges an additional fee for each country you plan to visit, which is a little higher for most non-EU countries but significantly higher for Turkey.
