Clubs Car Rental at Orlando Airport

Pros: It took 20 mins for the shuttle bus to pick us up , then when we got to pick the car up they wanted another $500 to cover the cost of a Toll pass , this was discounted after some arguing they originally wanted $9.99 per day plus tax , even when I told them I gave my own surpass they still insisted that I take theirs , so I cancelled the car got a taxi to our place , and rented one from the airport the next day .

Pros: Nothing - clubs is a rip off and a joke of a rental company.

Cons: Nothing - blatantly tried to force us to select additional coverage we didn’t need and force the sunpass - together which would have cost more than 10 times than the rental was originally set for.

Cons: Cancelled my reservation with no notification. Your website thinks that they still rented me a car. I had to find a last minute rental at 6x the price.

Pros: Horrible service with a run up of fees. The $250 rental hole had still not been credited 2 1/2 weeks later.

Pros: It was a terrible experience. We booked online prior to the trip. Claimed a Black Friday special deal where the rental was under $30 for the 5 days we would need it. Once we got there they changed the story and all of of sudden neither of our car insurance (State Farm and Progressive) was good enough and he said we would be charged over $300 for their special insurance in order to rent. Also, they two attendants didn’t speak English very clearly so it was had to understand what they kept wanting. While there they also charged a family of 3 women and a baby an extra $700 for their rental after they had been told everything was paid full. Major scam company.

However, upon arrival, I was informed that I needed to purchase their specific "additional" insurance, regardless of the fact that I had already bought insurance online and had a copy of my own insurance to prove coverage. They rudely dismissed my own insurance, claiming it wasn't valid for their rental. The additional insurance cost $350 USD for the week.

The main unit did not provide cold air from the center venting and the rear venting for the passengers in the rear seats. Would take up to 20mins before it started functioning. If I turned off the engine, just to get gas, the air conditioning would reset and take another 20 mins before the unit would blow cold air from the center vents. For Florida, it was between 82-91 degrees so Air in the car is a necessity.

After I refused to pay Extra mandatory $35/day insurance I was stranded with no rental - had to find another "real" rental company that accepted VISA insurance. Brought me to my hotel instead of the airport upon returning the vehicle. Loved how they sent an email with 80 photos of the vehicle before I left and advised I could take my own photos as well.

They listed the car at a very affordable cost, and when you go pick it up they say your insurance doesn’t cover and that you have to buy their base insurance which is $60/day. Cons: I was quoted $140 by DiscoverCars.com just to find out at pickup that CLUBS Car Rental will make you buy their own overpriced insurance. There is no way to use your own. The rental turned out to be $400 after all said and done. I am not using DiscoverCars.com again.

Cons: Booking # DC-6027161. I didn't pick the car on Saturday 8/26/23. I purchased insurance at the time of booking. Plus I even provided my own auto insurance card and the declaration page to Clubs car rental. They still wanted me to buy their insurance with a liability of $300,000.00, and $35 coverage per day. Pros: They are totally out to take your money. They were forcing us to accept their insurance policy which would have costed us an extra $300+. They said the only exception was a handful of insurance companies, which we had and had full coverage in. They still found an excuse for that to not be good enough. We ended up eating the original deposit and took an Uber. We had our kids and car seats with us and they did not care! Do not get mixed up with the shady company.

I previously worked for Avis - and would not have allowed the car to go out with Coca-Cola stains on the driver's seat .

Cons: They limit Insurance coverage to a specific number of companies. Which means you are forced to buy insurance coverage from them even if your current insurance covers you for rented vehicles. You have to pay minimum $10 per day for toll fee + actual toll. It is like you have to rent their scanner at $10 per day. You have to call for shuttle pick up from the airport and no one answers your call every time. In other words, they don't have regular shuttle picking up passengers from the airport.

He interrupted multiple times and decided to REFUSE to rent a car to me when I didn't understand the insurance policy, even though I'd already started the payment. It was only after I begged for him to not refuse service that he let me rent our car, and we had to pay nearly 300 in extra fees that we've never had to pay before, even the other time we used Clubs. NEVER use Clubs. We'll never again support their dishonest business model.

Shocking experience and were not contactable when one of the cars broke down leaving us in hot sunshine with a 3 year old child.
