Colusa Rent a Car at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Cons: Language barriers, phone responsive "zero", waited two hours for a simply question, not covered on their site. No customer service. Misleading content. Will not rent from this company gain. Car looked good but felt unsafe at high speeds. Was very "shakey". Not sure if a wheels needs to he balanced or an alignment done.

Cons: We rented a 12 seater van, everything was confirmed through the email. Only for us to receive a call the day before stating they don’t have a van. Horrible service. Then after waiting at the airport for over an hour in the sun with my family, finally got a bus to colusa, only to find out they can’t take my debit card. We had to go back to the airport to try and find a car, which only dollar rental could have helped us. We spend over 1000 just for 2 cars. Didn’t leave the airport until 3:30,

Cons: Everything. Our car would not start after being charged over double what we thought. We tried to speak with a manager and receive a refund, however we were hung up on after spending 30 minutes on the phone.

Cons: Colusa up sold me on everything from the SunPass for toll charges to collision insurance. I have an A+ rated insurance company and they would not accept it so I had to pay extra for their insurance coverage or I couldn't rent the car. When I booked through Discover Cars my total was $65. By the time I got to Colusa to pick up the car and they charged me for the SunPass for tolls and their insurance my total was almost $300

Cons: They made you pay for insurance even though my insurance was accepted when I purchased the rental online. Totally fraudulent and would never go back. I heard other people complaining of the same thing when I dropped my car off.

Pros: The best part was returning it quickly, efficiently and the shuttle getting us to the airport very quickly. They did give me a free SunPass for tolls, even though I didn't need it as it was a $25/day value which was equal to the extra insurance cost that I was forced to pay.

Cons: They didn't accept our own car insurance that covered the rental car for both collision and liability and would have charged me $50 to cancel the reservation. I was forced to pay an extra $25/day which made the car rental more expensive than some of the other rental companies I could have gone with had I known this in advance. The car rental wasn't the 'deal' price that I was led to believe upon booking online.

That’s policy, not proof of insurance…. Who travels with their policy? The only option I had was to buy insurance which was 200% more than the car rental.
