Dirent is a car rental company in Greece, the ever-popular vacation destination. Dirent has locations across the country in its most populous cities and on many of the islands, including Crete. The company was founded in 2001 and claims to be the largest independent car rental company in the country.

Dirent, like most rental companies, usually doesn’t allow its cars to be taken onboard ferries between the islands and never allows it for cars rented on Corfu or Crete. If you plan to visit multiple islands, it’s better to book a separate rental car for each. This will also save you money on the costs of taking a vehicle onboard a ferry.
