Dirent a car Greece at Crete Airport Heraklion

Pros: Friendly, professional

Cons: Difficult to find on exiting Heraklion airport. Also, car rental company is not Discover, but Dirigent!!!

Cons: We got an old Renault Scenic with a lot of damage and scratches. Unfortunatelly we didn't make pictures of every scratch because there was so much damage already. When returning the car the rental agent blamed us to have made a scratch we deffinetely didn't make.. He charged us 400 euro's!!! For one little scratch he will fix by painting it with a little brush (like all the other damage that was there). Lesson learned from us to make a video around the car and include the total assurance package

Pros: They were easy to deal with and efficient.

Cons: The car was old and dirty seats, the back window didn't open. the latch to fold the seat was broken and the finger was tapped. My wife trousers was ripped as it was caught on the bare metal seat latch.

Pros: The service person tried very hard to handle the problem that arose, professionally and courteously. Fast reception and quick and convenient return. Flexibility when returning the car, which was very helpful in light of the fact that the flight was delayed.

Cons: I did not receive the vehicle I ordered

Cons: In a country with narrow streets and careless drivers, scratches are inevitable. And because of that counting scratches makes a customer little paranoid about using a car. And that makes a vacation not so enjoyable.

Cons: - rushed staff who don't even give you time to answer questions, - they tried to give me a lower category car (the small one) even though I had paid for a medium one - the car I received had problems with the engine but they told me which was nothing, the next day it wouldn't turn on. - when picking up the car they forced me, in threatening tones, to avoid certain areas of the island otherwise they would have charged me €300

Pros: Although the staff were unable to provide us with a safe option for our infant, they were friendly. This doesn’t excuse the horrible condition of the car and baby seat.

Cons: I would absolutely never recommend anyone rent from DiRent. The vehicle was in terrible condition, the car didn’t lock properly which made security an issue, the baby seat was completely inadequate as well as being filthy. I’m very very disappointed in the service and have requested a full refund.

Cons: booked 7 seater plus 2 luggage space. But there was no space for luggage at all. Fuel kept on reserve while collecting the vehicle, as a new passenger to new country, it is vice to fill full fuel to full.

Cons: The service provider has failed to provide an agreed upon refund of 50 Euros related to the car not being available for the last 2 days of my rental. I would seriously consider terminating your relationship with this shady operator.

Pros: We had a hard time finding you at HER. At CHA we went a week early to find the drop off location. When we got there we could not get the car close to the building so we had to park across the street. The emergency line was helpful but it took a lot of driving around and we didn’t like leaving the car there.

Cons: No car ready flight was 1hr late still had to wait another hour for the car in the mean time they did offer me another car but not suitable . when we finally got the car it came straight off hire outside was very dirty inside was ok why do it take up to three weeks to in in block the deposit money

Cons: Rather difficult to find the office, and hard to manoeuvre in and out with cars blocking the tiny road. The car hadn't been cleaned when I picked it up, but at least it worked well! It would be MUCH easier for your customers if you operated a full-to-full fuel policy. Half-to-half means you need to refill soon after you collect it, then cannot judge how much fuel to put it when you return it.

Pros: The whole process of booking was quick and easy. We booked 2 cars the day before around 10 p.m. (29 July - Crete) We showed up at Dirent the next day at 12 p.m. The representative did not get a confirmation of our booking, but asked us to wait 1 hour and be patient. When we returned, 2 Toyota Aygo's were already waiting for us. 👍

Pros: Clean car, best price, quick drop off.

Cons: Car was not good condition, gearbox should be fixed, hard to drive into steeper angle hills. Also oil service mark appears every time when I start to drive. It made me nervous, what could happen. Nowhere was written that I need to have almost 1000 euros deposit for car, it was frozen in my credit card.

Cons: When I took the car back the agent found a small scratch on the side of the car. I didn’t have full insurance only the basic. He said if I give him 100€ cash I don’t have to file an incident report and I would get back the whole safety deposit. My deposit is still blocked, I’m afraid he ripped me off, and if I won’t get back the safety deposit I can’t even argue about it cause you can’t track back cash. I couldn’t argue with him because I had an early flight I had to catch.

Cons: Very few cars in their fleet so we weren't able to switch cars. Trunk had no cover. Lots of damage to inside trunk area. Automatic lock didn't work.

Cons: The rent a car company stated in instructions was not the one who rented the car. Had to wait for an hour to get redirected to a different rent a car company and then had to wait until the car was delivered.

Cons: Apparently the fuel gauge wasn't very accurate and the car was nearly empty when we got it so as advised we immediately put petrol in it. Unfortunately that cost us a lot of money and we didn't appear to use much of it. That isn't something I will accept again. Normally you get a car full of petrol and return it full. The car was very basic.

Cons: The car is falling apart, it’s really too old to be roadworthy. At one point my seatbelt, front passenger side, popped out of the buckle while we were driving. Another time the buckle malfunctioned and I couldn’t fasten my seatbelt
