Pros: The car I rented was quite a old car with mileage of over 200K kms. The car was not serviced properly and the brakes was problematic.

Cons: I couldn't get a replacement car at Mosgiel when i found that the brake was having problem and I was told they couldn't send replacement car a few hundred kms away from Christchurch. I was asked to get it repaired at the nearby workshop but it was almost 4:45 pm on a Friday (Sep 6) no no workshop was willing to take up the job and there's no workshop available on weekends there. I had no choice but to drive slowly on the following day back in Christchurch for a replacement car.

Pros: Returned in Christchurch and went to snap which we rented the car from for our trip

Cons: The attendance tried to give me another car, which was worse than the first car and that’s all there was on the lot to cars. I will not rent from this location ever again and I will make sure that no one I know does either.

Pros: The replacement was much better and we got our refund and discount for all the inconvenience.

Cons: The first car was lousy. Aircon not working. We wasted some of our traveling time to get it fix but cannot be done due to other complication.

Pros: Discount rentals were moving premises so taking that into account their service was very good.

Cons: On returning the car at 11.45am the office was shut as only person was handling another customer. While a phone call solved the problem they should realise a locked office is very worrying

Cons: The car was in mechanically very poor condition. Brakes very soft. Weird vibrations from transmission, suspension was shocking. Body panels lose and noisy. 200,000 + kms. This car should be retired before someone dies in it.

Pros: Very pleasant staff and car was spotless inside.

Cons: There wasn’t a cargo tray covering the boot of the car so our luggage was left exposed. This wasn’t ideal! Google maps didn’t know how to guide us to the address to return the vehicle. Spent about 45 minutes trying to return it. Fortunately, we had checked in for our flight prior.

Pros: The girl was very friendly and efficient. Gave excellent instructions and ensured details of insurance were understood. The car was clean with only a few small scratches 😊 Would definitely recommend them.

Cons: Guy at the 24 hour drop off was a bit gruff about where to leave the car. The sign said park by the fence, when I couldn't see any parks by the fence I tried to use the disabled space just to drop our bags off before finding a proper park and he told me off.

Cons: Difficulty identifying the building on pick up (didn't use the shuttle from airport). No name on the building and sharing with another company confusing. There was just a small rectangle board at ground level against the front window of the building.

Pros: Even though it is an old car but the performance is still good.

Cons: No front and rear camera for use in case of an accident. The car should be fitted with a camera for reversing.

Cons: The car we hired had a headlight that didn't go, we noticed this after we'd left depot on day of collection - probably shouldn't have been hired out like that as it would have failed a WOF. The key fob also didn't work even after purchasing new batteries for it.

Cons: Pickup instructions for CHC on website is out of date. Pickup SMS arrived 8 hours after pickup, needs to be sent 24 hours prior.
