Pros: Fast

Cons: Dollar misled us by selling unnecessary insurance, despite us already having coverage through Discover. Our credit card limit couldn’t cover both the deposit and balance, and the deposit maxed out the card. They refused to refund the deposit and claimed the extra insurance would reduce it, though this could have been done without the insurance. The process was very disappointing.

Pros: De mensen waren vriendelijk en konden precies uitleggen dat DiscoverCars een andere prijs had doorberekend, waar ik wel een contract mee had afgesloten. Dit probleem komt vaker voor en zogenaamd heb ik nu dubbel betaald voor extra service. Ik vind het wel moeilijk dat een partij blijft werken met een organisatie die continu klanten een andere prijs voorhoud. Dat daar gelaten. Verder is alles prima verlopen, behalve dat wij geen bewijs van inleveren hebben ontvangen.

Cons: Geen bewijs van inleveren. Ook geen idee wat de uiteindelijke kosten zouden zijn.

Pros: I actually enjoyed my experience. No hidden fees or anything. I was suggested to upgrade my coverage, but I am glad I did, some places on the road where not easy

Cons: My car didn’t have a possibility to open the window and low beams. So I was either blind in the dark, or upfront traffic was blinded

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1955.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Vehicle registration fee, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off. Young drivers are subject to a higher deductible/excess.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Wi-Fi.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
