Pros: Easy to book, pickup and drop-off vehicle. Vehicle was in good condition, ready when we arrived and service was good. Very easy to find rental desk at Sofitel Hotel, directly adjacent to North Terminal.

Cons: It was confusing that mandatory CDW insurance was not included with initial booking. And a surprise charge of at least 175 GBP was required to be paid before renting vehicle.

Pros: Quick pick-up, quick drop-off, proximity to airport.

Cons: A bit pushy in trying to upsell insurance products, but very pleasant about it. Tyre pressure sensor was showing but tyres all OK.

Cons: The price is not clear and it is unacceptable for £1,500 to be kept on your card for 28 days, that is a con in this day and age. The car was old and very basic

When we showed up, we had a "similar vehicle" that seated 7 but had literally zero room for any of our cargo. Our hands were tied and we had no other choice but to upgrade to a 9 seater van with massive cargo. This vehicle, while spacious, was clunky and very difficult to manage while driving through the UK. Cons: I rented at Gatwick on 6th July. Drivalia had no cars, so everyone just had to wait until a car was returned by another customer. There was no time guarantee that this would happen. We waited 3 hours for a car. Other people waited longer. If a car was returned that did not match your booking, people were forced to re-book and pay extra to get a car. There were many angry people.

Cons: The fact that the security deposit wasn't taken when the booking was made as I didn't have the same card with me on the day which resulted in me having to spend more money to buy insurance. Secondly expecting me to do the driving licence check - if this is something you want completed, ask for the details before collection and do it yourselves!! Thirdly, finding you was difficult and I think you need to make it a lot more clearer that you are not based in the airport.

Cons: Was asked for my NI number on check in! Never in 45 years of renting cars has this been requested. Put it on your info if it is needed! I remembered the number only to be told by the guy that it was wrong. I had to get on the internet and check it. I had told him it right and he had typed it in wrong! Give me strength! It took a while to find the office.

Cons: I was cheated out of money via a very expensive excess. This came up when I picked up the car. I had to pay £480.- extra initially on my debit card. After pushing back this suddenly dropped to £240.-. I could not take the car otherwise.
