Drivalia at Manchester Airport

Pros: Very nice deal representative. Helpful given circumstances.

Cons: Flight was cancelled. Was meant to pick up car at 11pm, instead arrived at 8am with no car available without having to pay an upgrade fee. Paid a £300 instead of £120! Not ideal situation as unable to claim this back.

Pros: They agreed to cancel booking without a fee.

Cons: Having rung twice to explain the flight was delayed and I still wanted the car. They gave it to someone else and then wanted to charge me double for a different car.

Cons: Rude service, hassled about our insurance coverage, leaky tire that blew.

Pros: Nothing, they did not have a car for me.

Cons: They didn't have a car for me.

Pros: Great car, easy to rent. The rental agent did a great job and I had an overall smooth process

Cons: The shuttle bus to take us to the car took a long time to arrive

Cons: Handed vehicle back with more fuel than when I collected yet the person said I would be charged for this. 40mile range on collection and 69mile range on drop off

Cons: Paid fir meet ans greet, but had to get bus, car supplier very inefficient, had hard sell for their own insurance even thought I had already paid for it, expected meet and greet to take 10 mins, but took 90 minutes before I had the car.

Cons: I had to pay for CDW. The return wasn't as friendly or helpful and there was a long wait for the transfer

Pros: Online check in to save time. Ease of dropping off the car at end of rental period. No magnifying glass looking for scratches like some other car rental companies, quick check for obvious damage, petrol and mileage - very quick and no stress.

Cons: Time taken to pick up the car. Took an hour from phoning for bus pick up to driving away in car.

Pros: Online check-in meaning no printing docs

Cons: Took a while to be seen even though there were several agents behind desk seemingly not seeing anyone

Pros: Alan was absolutely brilliant and was great to deal with , he was so welcoming and very professional but was so helpful

Cons: slightly long time to get to collect the car, as we went round the airport about 3 times. But fast once we were in the hire car office. It would be good to get a paper copy of the agreement for visual reference.

Cons: The large deposit that will take 28 days to come back on my card and the fact they refused to check the car over when I dropped it off and did not give me a copy of the report after dropping it off so I had to take a picture of it

Cons: What I didn't like, is that they would not give me a paper copy of the damage report so I had to take a photo of it, go outside and try and compare the report with the car and it was difficult to see the phone/picture outside. This is a poor cost saving on there part and no environmental reason excuses this as it 1 sheet of paper per customer. Also wasn't shown anything about car controls nor what fuel itused. Simple things that would help the vehicle renter.

Pros: Excellent service. Very friendly. Mohammed at the drop off was super!

Pros: Alan at Manchester was very helpful when our rental car broke down. Both helped us get a new car in the evening and when we returned the car in Manchester.

Cons: We were given a car which broke down shortly after it was handed over to us.

Pros: The other guys, including the drop off/pick up drivers were great.

Cons: There was one guy on reception who was just plain rude.

Pros: Initially they were friendly and welcoming picking us up at the airport even though we were 1.5 hours early

Cons: Aggressive pushing of overpriced insurance (min doubling cost). Bad attitude when refused- kept waiting 1+ hour. When we went to fill the petrol the flap was deliberately jammed shut (needed 2 people to open) + the petrol cap tightened to maximum- my partner could not open it. I had to use brute force. This was no coincidence I believe but pettiness at our refusal to take the insurance.

Pros: Your shuttle bus to and from the airport, driver was very friendly

Cons: All great, it used to be Easirent and the service was terrible, staff run ragged. I changed to Keddy for a few years due to the service of Easirent, first time back and extremely happy.

Cons: on returning the car being asked straight away by one of the cleaners (who'd clearly spotted a legacy scratch on the car) whether i'd taken out full cover.

Cons: I had to pay 300 pounds more for a non SUV as the SUV had been given away due to my flight being late, even though I rang up to confirm that I was still collecting it. I had to pay extra cover for insurance even though I had ticked comprehensive cover. I was told that that always happens when you book from an American site, however, that should not be my issue as I booked this due to best price.

Pros: The company took payment twice stating payment had not gone through. I told them it had and they argued. It had taken a double payment and it is only when I challenged it I was told this had been noted.

Cons: After having one hours sleep, been driven to a location by a grumpy bus driver. I arrived at the pickup point realizing that I didn't have a UK sim card for my phone I wouldn't be able to find my way to my families home. I asked if I could have a GPS in the car. I'm sure I saw that this would be an extra 100 pounds. The agent (Rohan) then said I would have to get a more expensive car to have a GPS. This ened up costing me another 826. There is more but not enough room to type

Pros: Drop off was excellent at Stansted, pick up at Manchester was slow and sluggish.

Cons: I spent 30 years in sales and I've seen most of the tricks, if not all.... Including the sales pitch for an upgrade to a SUV and sat nav included for an extra £390.00.... I refused and stuck to the he ford focus or similar. Imagine my surprise when the car brought to us was an SUV with sat nav.... An excellent saving of 390 Christmas pounds I think. Not the best sales technique if I'm being honest. Car was great though and economical on fuel.

Cons: The only negative was I wasn’t expecting to be driven to collect the car, hence a score of 5 for finding the desk and 8 for time spent picking up the car.

Cons: Disappointed we didn't get offered a discount as returning customers. We were offered a discount on our deposit but we already had credit so this wasn't applicable. However customer service did reply quickly. Will ask again next time!

Cons: I was concerned about a slit and bulge in tyre when receiving the vehicle and the agent said it was ok to drive. Nothing happened and I reported it to the agent when I got back for peace of mind for future drivers.

Pros: The Drivalia guy behind the desk when we arrived was helpful and did his utmost to get us a car even though the system didn’t accept a French credit card. So we had to swap the named driver. We would not use Drivalia again for that reason. French credit cards need to be accepted by the booking system. This happened to the customers behind us too!

Cons: Staff when we returned the car were pretty grumpy, particularly the driver who turned up late for work and so we waited 40 mins for a shuttle!

Cons: As requested I uploaded drivers license, passport & personal information before I travelled to “accelerate check in” but then I was asked for all this info again at check in. Calling for pickup was slow & frustrating requiring a transfer

Pros: The efficiency of the transfer from the airport was fantastic both ways and also the easiness of dropping the car off on return way.

Cons: The service of the member of staff was awful, he then tried to give us a dirty car that had just been returned, he accused me of demanding an upgrade where he was the one who said it was possible. The spec and condition of the car was extremely low, basic and in poor condition.

Pros: The rep in Manchester was lovely, easy to deal with. When a different car had to be found this was found quickly

Cons: First car offered was defective with bald tyre. The initial pick up from airport was poor, driver didn’t have a list of names for pick up and another group jumped queue we had wait time of almost 1 hour. drop off in Leeds was poor, the rep there was unhelpful. Wanted to drop off at 6am which according to discover was the opening time (divalia in Leeds told us 8am) we therefore had to push key through van window and walk to airport with cases as no shuttle available to us

Cons: Booking directly through Drivalia doesn't allow you to remove full coverage for drivers with coverage provided by other service providers. I have to use a third party to get this option. I would rather book directly with Drivalia.

Cons: Doesn't open until 6am so no shuttle service. the mandatory insurance wasn't clear prior to picking up the car and that doubled the price, felt like bait and switch.

Pros: Drivalia were great to deal with once we had clarified that I did not accept the DiscoverCars.com booking as it was very shonky insurance. Cancelled that and rebooked directly with Drivalia and they were great. They even provided vehicle upgrade and unlimited mileage to cover for the bad experience that was happening as a result of DiscoverCars.com conditions of hire (which I rejected once they were clarified at the pickup).

Cons: Drivalia were great, DiscoverCars.com is a NO-GO zone - beware of booking through these guys, it is not obvious what is going on regading the insurance cover that you select. Buyer beware!!!

Cons: I was passed by a driver who was sent to pick me up. They sent another van after a long wait. Got to the office and presented my invoice and my insurance waiver to the agent. I was then charged the full amount (for insurance). I said that I wanted that refunded. They said that they were unable to do that at the location and that it had to be sent to their main office and would take a few days to be credited back to my credit card. After 3 weeks I have still not been credited.

Pros: Kam the rep was very helpful and professional when helping us through the rental process.

Cons: Had a hard time finding the rental return car park. The personnel were very helpful and dropped us off at our hotel.

Pros: Customer service answered all queries by email before I took out car. We were satisfied. I would hire from here again.

Cons: That it's not made clear that you need 2 forms of address confirmation, recently dated - it delayed my pick up massively as no customers in at the same time as me knew, so didn't have the right documents. This is the second time I've used the service and the same thing happened last time - the only reason I knew about the deposit being so high was because I had previously booked a car here and found out at collection.

Pros: Not much - only one person at counter, took ages for getting the car (see above). Also the persons before and after me had problems to collect their car

Cons: They forced me to pay 302 GBP extra, threathening me that they could not give me a car (see above). I had no other choice then accepting.

Cons: It wasn’t Drivalias fault but the number we were given to call when we arrived at the airport was disconnected. It was a bit of a worry as we were not given another number b discover cars.

Cannot fault the car that I was given and as far as price it was very competitive, however, based on collection experience alone I would not use again.

He was solution oriented, calm, calmed me down as I was sobbing after the service I received from Liverpool. But when I got to Enterprice they hadn't received a call that I returned the key there, @10:00 am on 17.4.2023.

Cons: Got a very bad experience delivering car in Liverpool, LL241YA was not working In-car sat-nav, sending me at company called KIRKBY(TYRES), than driving in this Industrial area for about 30 min and not finding, nobody new your company, nobody at street could help neither could 2 persons at Liverpool office, the Industrial district was confusing. they were very bad at leading me through the streets of the industrial district from the rental company Sixt, to theirs. send me back and forth.seeemail

Cons: Waiting too long at the airport for pickup to pick up point. Inefficient staff at pick up point. The staff spent too much time on trying to hard sell upgrades and trying to force me to buy their own insurance.
