This location will do the shuttle service to Campanha train station Train platform + phone call to DRIVALIA Porto-Center + + outside sidewalk + DRIVALIA shuttle (customers should previously indicate train trip number and a mobile phone number; on local site the voucher should be delivered Detailed: After leaving the train, customer should contact DRIVALIA – +351 225371281 / 911776109 – saying that is already available. Should then go to the interior of the station using the stairs located in the platforms, if needed. Once there, should go to the coffee shop / bookstore area and take the main exit to go outside. There, next to the taxi stop, customer should wait for the Drivalia Shuttle. At shuttle’s arrival, and with previous expeditious confirmation of the booking elements, customer is conducted to the car station in order to pick up his/her automobile (auto facilities for car delivery and return is near, about 5-7 min. away from the railway station). Car drop-off usually should be at the referred facility. Customer will then be transferred to the station if is what is wanted.

Pros: Car was very new and had no visible damage but after a few days multiple warning messages began to appear including orange check engine light. At one point the car just stopped running on the expressway. Fortunately, it restarted and we made it to Lisbon to return the car.

Cons: I called two offices in Algarve region about the warning messages and both were of no help - they just said they had no cars for a replacement and to call Lisbon, which was 2 hours away. Lisbon rep was helpful and said we could drive the car despite the messages.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1950.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Rate excludes
Many highways in Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 2.00 EUR per day up to a maximum of 20.00 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 20 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

For vehicles in groups Special a driver license issued at least 3 years ago is required.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Maestro, American Express, Diners, JCB, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, Union Pay.
Credit card must be valid after rental period for at least 30 days.
The following are accepted methods of payment:Visa Electron, Cash, Debit cards, prepaid cards.

All credit cards must be capable of the following: PIN verification; cards without this capability will not be accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Spain-Mainland.
Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office. In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Toll pass / E-toll device, Cross border fee.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

In no case will a refund be given for unused fuel. For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
A full battery lasts around 260 km (this is an estimate as it depends on several factors).
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by previous request at airport locations.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
