And yet the paperwork given by the staff stated to return the the vehicle with a “full” tank. I returned the vehicle with a full tank and upon mentioning it to the Drive On Holidays staff they felt no obligation to compensate me for what amounted to shorting me on 26euros worth of fuel. I rented the vehicle through DiscoverCars.

They told us we could not take the car without the additional insurance (even though Discover Cars says they cannot force you to do that, but apparently they can), and they charged us more than 300 euros for the new insurance. It was a complete con and we ended up paying almost three times as much as we had expected for the car rental.

The car wasn’t full of ad blue which is crucial for a diesel car. I needed to get back, tell the crew that issue and wait for the team to fill it in. This should be done properly before pickup.

Maybe that was in the fine print somewhere, but I didn't see it, and that's a big extra cost that I wasn't expecting. I don't think it's fair that I don't get that money back after I returned the car with no problems. Why should I have to pay more because I don't have a credit card? That seems really unfair.

Cons: At pickup, there was no inspection of, or record of the existing damage to the car which was small dents and scratches. The agent told me to take a video of any damage. I don't feel the onus should be on the customer to record existing damage when picking up the vehicle. The pre-inspection should be done by an agent and customer together. I have not yet received a refund for the 70 euro deposit for the toll transponder. There is a new unknown charge on my card for 8.89 euros on Nov 29.

Pros: Their facility is spotless and very well organized. All the staff are friendly and super helpful. The shuttle service works perfectly for pickup and drop off at the airport.Honestly, one of the best car rental companies I have ever dealt with and I have tried many over the years.

Cons: Due to unforeseen circumstances I wanted to return my car prior to the agreed returned date but I was refused refund fir the unused days, I had a similar situation sometime back and I was obliged with refund for unused days but not at drive on holidays

Cons: Check out was not good. Attendants did not go over any thing about operating the car and also did not thoroughly go over condition of car. With difficulty we had to find someone to go over the exterior of car and several pre existing scratches/ bumps were missed.

Cons: The address on Google is incorrect. I had to return the rental office as I got a warning on the dash that adblue is needed or the car would not start. This was on the first day of the rental. Should have been taken care of prior to pick up.

Pros: It was really bad. The car was old, with a lot of mileage. The return was tumultuous because they didn't accept receiving the car before 8 am, and would only receive it if we paid 33 euros; there were countless people returning their cars at the same time

Pros: Pick up and drop off shuttle to and from the airport was timely. The team at the rental car location were all very helpful. The agent who did the initial check in was knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons: Service wasn’t the problem. As a vacationer in Portugal the rental company sticker on the back of the car helped target me as a foreigner. Portugal is known for petty theft from vehicles (experienced personally) and the sticker acts as a flashing beacon. This was my second rental from them….the first rental the vehicle had no sticker on it identifying it as a rental. No idea what has spawned the reason of installing a sticker besides advertising. For this reason alone that will be my last rental

I had gone on discover cars website to find out what to do. It explained I had 28 days to file a claim. I explained that to the supervisor. His response was without a police report they will not take back. Went to the nearest police station and they told me they couldn’t do anything. I missed my flight cost me another $2700 cdn
