Cons: Unfortunately we were not aware of the lunch break, and we had to wait a bit for the rental agents to return. There is no issue with the break, its just they should communicate it in advance.

Cons: I asked if the car has gps, the guy said I had to pay 10€/day. I didn't really realized straight away they played smart, overpricing the upgrade of the car...(I'm not even sure it was necessary to do the upgrade). Later on their website the upgrade was no more than 1€..but prices are not shown clearly at their office, and funny thing, reading some reviews, the same guy did free upgrade to others customers!! And GPS didn't even work properly .. zero honesty and so unfair

Cons: Difficulty to return the car, because the QR code they provided wasn't working and there were not signs indicating where to return the car, way behind the airport at steep hill, which was quite difficult to reach so we almost missed our flight..

Pros: It was easy ti find the place, and the stuff was super helpful even when we had to change cars. Smooth communication, all time accessibility.

Cons: The cars conditions couldve been better. By our first car we had problems with the undercarriage which led us to having to spend a whole morning driving back to the saloon and getting a new car. By the second car there were problems with bot the breaks and the engine belt leading us to make screeching noises both by accelerating and by breaking. This was a bit unpleasant especially in cities or towns where everyone looked at us with weird eyes.

Pros: The service was quick and efficient, and overall the car was in good condition.

Cons: The car could have benefited from some routine maintenance like replacing a non-functioning headlight. Madeira has myriad of tunnels, and having a "one-eyed" car makes it a bit dangerous in the tunnels where use of headlights is mandatory.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1000.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
Many highways in Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 1.85 EUR per day up to a maximum of 18.50 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, credit card, valid driver license, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
