Cons: Se un volo è in ritardo diventa decisamente complicato non perdere la prenotazione, questa è l'unica pecca, perché non c'è una possibilità di aggiornamento o un supporto diretto per questi casi. Io sono riuscito a non perdere niente dopo diverse chiamate tra la società di noleggio e discovercars, ma ad altri utenti che erano sullo stesso volo è andata peggio: hanno perso la prenotazione e dovuto riportare da capo, direttamente con la società di noleggio.

Pros: Agent in Palermo was very courteous.

Cons: Palermo: Unless I asked, rep did not offer advice about car's features.. many functions may have worked but I had no knowledge how to access. Also, the screen language was German... surely there was a way to change to English, Italian or other. Agents do not tell you about the "cleaning fee" until you are ready to check out. They also did the pre-rental existing condition review in the dark with a tiny flashlight. Finally, to the location of the pickup was very far from airport.

Cons: Lots of hidden fees. Car has to be returned super clean (e.g., no sand what-so-ever) I’m ready-to-rent-again conditions to avoid been charged an unknown cleaning fee. A normal car wash wouldn’t be sufficient. This pushes you to get their own insurance since that covers damages and you don’t have to worry about cleaning the car.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: flight information.
Renters from the following country(ies): Italy must provide the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack.

During winter season (from 01.10 until 15.04) Snow chains are included in price.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.

Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
