Enterprise
Also known by its full name, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, this company is based in the United States. Enterprise was founded in 1957 in St Louis and has maintained its headquarters in the area ever since. The company was founded by the St. Louis native and naval veteran Jack C. Taylor (USS Enterprise was a ship on which he had served). The company was later led by his son, Andy C. Taylor, who remains its executive chairman. Since 2020, the CEO & president of the company has been Chrissy Taylor, Jack C. Taylor’s granddaughter.
The company’s original fleet consisted of seven cars, but nowadays it can be found in around 140 different countries, making it one of the biggest rental car companies in the world. Over the years, Enterprise has acquired a number of other global rental car players, including National and Alamo that maintain their original names and brands, but are a part of the Enterprise Holdings group.
