Pros: The car was in good condition

Cons: Pickup was scheduled for 7 AM from Izmir airport. There was no pick up desk at the airport. The car rental company sent someone to pick me up at 930 AM. The car pickup location was located 5 kms away. I had booked Fiat Agea, manual drive. The staff said they did not have a manual drive sedan and offered a Fiat Torino van with manual drive instead. This was not a comfortable car for a long drive. They gave an upgrade to Renault capture with add on payment of €34. Wasted 4 hours. Horrible experien

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Essence were not there to meet and greet. When we called essence, they outsourced the hire to another company, who came 30 minutes later to the pickup point. When we dropped off the car there was again a performance, with the agent taking us from the airport dropoff, to a car park to do the paperwork.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1000.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 23 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 69 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

Customers are only allowed to rent only if they agree to a credit check and their credit score is satisfactory.
Local renters must pass a Findex credit check to pick up the car.
A credit check is mandatory for local customers at the time of pick up.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, booking voucher.
A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.
Deposit and deductible policy

In the event of damages to the car, without providing a police report, CDW and any other additional protection become voided.
Optional extras and services

Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are recommended during the winter season but are not mandatory.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 3 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
