Cons: After we delivered the car back to Europcar, they called 30 mins later to say it had a puncture. I am still waiting for the security deposit to be refunded (less the cost of puncture repair) over 3 weeks after returning the car. This is just not acceptable.

Cons: I reserved and paid for a Mercedes Benz and was given a Hyundai and told "sorry, those vehicles are in the same category". They also wanted to charge me an additional cleaning fee because the car interior wasn't vacuumed before being dropped off. It wasn't even dirty, but they wanted it returned all detailed. I've never heard of that before. I won't use Europcar again.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: ~€ 930.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Accident Administration fee, Rental contract fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): South Africa.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.

Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Zambia.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
