Ezi Car Rental at Auckland Airport

Pros: The quickest pickup and drop off I've ever had (have had many re tals over the years). Staff customer service was impeccable. We stopped into another branch to add a second driver, super easy and quick. Can't recommend more.

Cons: I have absolutely nothing negative to add, would recommend in a second.

Pros: We booked the car for 7.30pm. The plane was early and we arrived at 7pm at the desk. We did not get the car as it was not ready. Absolutely no flexibility. We only received the key at 7.55. Will not book it again!

Pros: Staff friendliness, professsionalism and support. The Ford Puma was a wonderful car to drive and being hybrid provided some economy considering the current cost of fuel in New Zealand. Great all-round.

Pros: The Ezi desk rental at Auckland airport was easy access. The service was polite and efficient.

Cons: The wait for my car was over an hour. The car was worth the wait and the staff were apologetic and considerate. It was a busy holiday time of the year I understood they were working within their capacity. No problem.

Cons: Desk staff have no idea of company policies upon returning the car. Ignorant and rude staff when questioned about road tolls. We were told upon picking up the car that it was our responsibility to pay which we tried but nz.govt_toll informed us that ezi had already paid for it with an extra fee. When asked at the return desk they told us to contact customer service as they have no idea about the policy. It is a catch 22 and one way of ezi ripping customers off. In the end we managed to solve it

Pros: Finding the drop off was a bit of a mission but was so happy that there was someone in the shed to direct me to the right place.

Cons: International drop-off. No agent at drop-off and not informed to park and drop off key at rental desk.

Cons: The price was approx $250 more than discover cars quoted. I was totally unaware that the insurance was with discover cars and I would have to pay full excess and then claim it back. It seems that discover cars is only skimming the hire car companies and not offering anything substantial

Cons: The pick up service was terrible, took nearly 2 hours to get our car….30mins in a queue and then nearly 90 mins whilst they faff around trying to source the car and get it ready. This seemed the case for all customers with Ezi generally being very unorganised.

Cons: Although english is not an official language in NZ, they asked us to have our EU driver licenses translated to english. This did not happen in 2 other car rental companies in Auckland we had booked the same week. It took like 45min to get the car. The location to pickup the car is in the airport terminal, not thhe outside parking spot. Thanks

Cons: getting to the location is a bit tricky and if you miss the turn then it will be another story. good to inform the customer about the address so that Waze or Google can find it easily.

Cons: The original agent wasn't quite listening to the information that I was giving to her. She said that she had only been there for a few weeks and was still learning.
