Pros: Very easy to deal with super friendly, 10 mins to wait at airport 5 mins to office and we were on the road after paperwork in 15 mins. The car was good enough for us and great value. We would use these guys again!

Pros: Best pricing across all the companies for the dates we were looking at, reasonable insurance policies (other companies had extortionate prices or very high excesses) and free shuttle to the airport which made pick up and drop off super easy! Would definitely use them again

While the km driven by the car was more than 70k which if you do the math for a two month old car wasnt making sense . The sound system and the navigation screen buttons were written in japanese making it more difficult to connect my bluetooth or navigate.

Cons: Our flight got delayed by 3 hours so i arrived at christchurch airport at 5.30pm. and by the time i got my luggages and rushed to use the local landline kindly offered by another car rental company. it was 5.55pm. And the handphone number was fortunately picked by the staff although i had to call 3 times. The staff promptly came to pick us at the airport although they insisted on charging the late fee of NZD50. They should have waived it given my predicament.

Won't use EZU again.

It could have been waived off, or atleast reasonable charged. You are big car rental company, so you could have got adjustment of such things to manage with. Overall very satisfied with.... I had requested for Suzuki Swift. I saved money in petrol.

When dropping the car back, phoned the number as told to, and was told would be 5 mins, waited and waited and waited, shuttle driver arrived back and reminded other guy we were waiting, he served the people he had bought back and as we were still waiting when he finished, we finally got to return the car.

Cons: The car had an obvious dent in the back, windshield was so dirty that a chip in the window was not apparent until I insisted the windshield get washed inside, the usb charger supplied was broken, I asked repeatedly to have it noted on my paperwork the existing damage to the car and kept being told there were photos of it but they wouldn’t show me the photos, the car had a loud rattling noise and very high mileage. Cons: The car I picked up is much older than the photos on the website. The condition of the car is quite disappointing. It’s generally clean, but very smelly inside. One of the seat belts doesn’t work on the second row. I wouldn’t use this company again.

Pros: Nothing, they didn't have the car I booked, then they gave me a car smaller which made me feel unsafe.

Cons: The driver's seat kept moving when I put my foot on the break. It felt unsafe then when I went back to say it felt unsafe they made it out I was lying the mechanic come out took it for a drive and said there was a bit of give on the seat then they wanted to swap it for another car I told them to give me my money back and I will go elsewhere so it was a bit of a drama I got some money back which I was grateful for. The staff took forever to answer the phone for pick up from the airport. 3-4calls

Cons: We waited over 30 minutes to be collected from the airport in the shuttle. We then had to queue for another 30 minutes at EZU as there was only one person working. We questioned why we were paying for 15 days when we were only renting the car for 14 and EZU told us they can’t change it. The car was junk. Worst car I’ve rented anywhere in the world. Hub caps zip tied on. Paint chipping off. Old as - looked like someone’s personal car. Weak brakes. Definitely not fuel efficient either.

Pros: The vehicle looked a bit tired on the outside, but really clean on inside. Quite expensive so I did have a higher expectation. But, I’m always looking to keep my own car in vgood condition,

Cons: They were okay, but did take a while for our pick up in Christchurch, however we were new to this company and just off the flight, so very keen to get going on our holiday. A lot of other car rental companies were there quite promptly

Pros: not much, maybe the queenstown branch was much better than christchurch,

Cons: basically zero communication, were told the car would be available at airport, nothing was there, tried phoning their one mobile number and no answer only text saying could not speak now, had to walk 2km to their depot as there was no shuttle basically total nightmare. Christchurch depot operator very rude and no apology for the stuff up..told me i needed to print out discover cars paper work when it was on my phone. kept saying you booked through a third party so basically you get what you get

Cons: The car's radio and audio system was in Japanese only - no English menu was available, so it was useless. We could not connect our cellular phone through the Bluetooth option - which resulted in not being able to listen to music.

Cons: 1. Absolutely no after-business-hour service at Queenstown location other than car key drop-off box. No contact via phone. There was no shuttle service running, so we had to call two uber cars because we were a group of 5 people with luggage. "After-business-hour service" for $50 fee was a bogus. I asked the staff at pick-up in Christchurch location about the "after-business-hour service" at drop-off in Queenstown but he was not knowledgeable about that. 2. The car was NOT clean at all.

Cons: Unfortunately the GPS was in a another language and we couldn’t turn it of. A minor inconvenience we worked around. We did not make an effort to contact EZU as it was not that important to us.

Cons: No-one answering phone on arrival so small delay in pick up from airport and further confusion re possible damage/tank full when dropping car off at different location to pick up which was frustrating and disappointing although fairly quickly resolved.

You rent a car for your holidays and you can’t put any music, we asked the guy to help and he just said: I don’t know Japanese 🤷🏽‍♂️. Also, this is just a little detail but when people rent a car on their holidays it’s really helpful is the car has a USB port for the phone and this one it had nothing

Cons: Rude customer service, apparently they don’t check txt messages cause they’re too busy or call you back about picking up or dropping off vehicle. Also seemed like the car wash washed a month ago, with spider webs on wing mirrors, they forgot to clean/vacuum centre console
