Pros: Great response to any questions I had over the 1 month we had car

Cons: The car rental company did not show up with the car. I tried calling, texting and emailing them with no response. Had to rent another car last minut which cost me more. Now I am trying to get a refund for my deposit and insurance and I have fill out a complaint form.
Pros: Not professional
Cons: No answer to a phone call for 5 hours. If I had an emergency on the road I would have been stranded.
Pros: the car promised was delivered
Cons: did not deliver vehicle timely, because my fight was delayed, they paid no attention to my flight arrival time. said I did not send it. I have confirmation email, it was sent to Discovercars. They were uncompassionate, agent was out to lunch, 3 hours. eventually delivered the vehicle after threatening that i was in default per the contract.. DON'T use FIRST. Pay extra if necessary you'll have a better start to vacation.
Pros: Tiago was amazing, so helpful and polite. He had to change the one of the two cars we rented, but he came to our villa to do the swap, didn't charge us the petrol we had used and we were upgraded so we didn't mind at all!
Cons: There was a bit of a wait at the airport followed by a drive to a different site for us to eventually get the cars (as First Rent doesn't have a franchise in the building) but it was by far the cheapest rental and the cars were fine so overall worth it!

Many highways in Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 2.00 EUR per day up to a maximum of 20.00 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 24.
Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, MasterCard debit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Additional drivers are allowed free of charge.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 30 minutes.
