Pros: The experience was overall terrible. We received the car with a malfunction and battery that died twice, putting the day of our departure from Santo Domingo. we had to buy starting cables with our own money and that was not reimbursed by the rental agency. Yeah The front left window did not work during the entirety of our reservation and the windows were malfunctioning as well. Also, the window button would fall all the time as they were completely smashed.

Cons: Like The personnel from the front desk of our rental agency were useless, incompetent and quite rude. We have asked for a compensation for all the travel that we had and they were quite unhelpful. By far, this has been one of the most stressful rental experiences that I’ve ever had in any country.

Pros: NOTHING - Horrible experience!

Cons: It was the WORST rental Experience ever! Ariel car rental tried to extort an additional $169 from us if we paid by credit card instead of cash, even though it clearly said on our contract the balance due could be paid by credit card. They tried to force us to buy extra insurance even though we bought insurance as part of our rental contract. Again when the car was dropped off they tried to force us to pay cash.

Pros: Never rent from this company ! We have been given a car with 250000 kms and a very clear crack in the windscreen that they pretended to be “cured”

Cons: They charged us 80 Euro for the cover of the trunk because of a little damage . That was a nonsense compared to the overall conditions of the car . We had a full coverage insurance , they claimed that this doesn ‘t cover the inside of the car , but we have never been told of this limitation

Pros: They picked us up at the airport and we got the car as promised.

Cons: The car doors did not lock/unlock properly, and the car closed automatically with the keys inside (very dangerous). The check-out process was lame and we spent a lot of time refilling the tank so that we put every last drop of gas that fit there. The diver was an asshole.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 945.00 - € 2360.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 70 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express.

Cash, Cheques, Debit cards, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age).

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
