Pros: I was overcharged either by DiscoverCars.com or Fox. When I made my booking online, my documents said there no other fees payable other than an additional driver. The additional driver fees weren’t what was quoted either. There needs to be more transparency. The Fox manager told me the extra fee was charged by Discover and I would need to talk to them. My suspicion is that Discover will point the finger at Fox. Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had!!!! Tripadvisor here I come!

Pros: Almost nothing. It literally took an hour standing in line while one functioning service agent helps three bus loads of people. The other two agents were working with one customer for an entire hour. Worst service I have ever seen.

Cons: It was not clear enough that Fox was not located at the rental car facility and required another lengthy shuttle ride. The shuttle was oversubscribed, there were not enough agents, and each rental process took about 10x as long as other rental companies. Also, I have never heard of an extra charge for returning a car early.

Cons: Asked if I wanted an upgrade for 20.00 a day and I declined. Went out to get our car in the lot and there were no cars there. Then they said to just pick any car in the lot. Many had bald tires, dents and dings, and the interior was not clean.

Second, agent pushed back when I said I did not want to get charged for it and threw "no fault" states at me without much clarification. There was no compact cars available when I got there and the second representative which approached me to help me up, gave me a free upgrade. He was friendly and accessible. We as travelers need people like him especially when we are tired, alone, and traveling with a dog.

The car was filthy on the exterior, and had to be wiped down before we even left the lot… After waiting 1.5 hours i just wanted to gwt going and didnt mention this to the staff… The needs service light was on the entire trip (80k miles on vehicle) which always made me wonder if/when this is when the car is going to crap out because they are clearly not maintained… Def not worth the aggravation & frustration for the small amount of money saved!!
