Pick-up instructions
Upon arrival at the San Diego airport, please proceed to Baggage Claim. 1 - Once at Baggage Claim, look for Ground Transportation as you go up escalators to the Sky Bridge. 2 - The Sky Bridge will then lead you to the shuttle pick up area. 3 - Board the shuttle for a short ride to the Rental Car facility. Shuttle buses run approximately every 10 minutes during regular business hours.

Cons: I did not enjoy being sneakily upsold on a vehicle that I already said I didn’t want. I was then convinced I needed the toll pass, when in reality it wasn’t needed at all. But because I hadn’t driven in California before I was looking for advice from the associate only to have nearly doubled my rental cost when all was said and done. Never again.

Pros: reasonably quick to get going, car i got was brand new (4 miles on the odometer)

Cons: drop off was hard to find (poor signage). Guy wanted me to just leave the car. I've been ripped off in the past by dropoff inspections "finding" damage so I wanted to be present and get the all-clear. First he finikshed working in his office for a while then inspected a bunch of other cars while we stood around and waited. Then he glanced at the car, waved and said you're good to go, you'll get an email in a few minutes. So it seemed that was it and we left.

Pros: It was easy to find the rental desk.

Cons: Fox is running a scam. The rental agent told me I had to buy extra insurance or I could not rent the car. This was plainly untrue as I was able to rent from another company (Dollar) without buying the insurance. The extra insurance would have roughly doubled the cost of my rental. I will never rent from Fox in the future.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (with zero deductible), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications, Surcharges.
Rate excludes
Many highways in USA - California are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees. There is an additional charge of 12.99 USD per day for Toll pass / E-toll device.
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): USA. In order to pick up the car, international renters must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, International Driving Permit (IDP), telephone number statement (as proof contact number belongs to driver).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
