Pros: When I arrived to pick up the car they told me my reservation was cancelled because I was 75 minutes after my pick-up time. After 1 hour they automatically do that! Ridiculous! I had already paid the car fully but still. Could only make a new very expensive booking or do an expensive upgrade of my existing booking. Yes, that was possible but not posting my original booking… Terrible service! And we were not the only ones there! So beware! Don’t arrive late (max 59 minutes) after your reservation

Cons: Cancellation of my already fully paid car reservation after being 1 hour later then expected despite the fact I called them 4 times to tell them we were coming. We were at the airport meeting point 1 hour after agreed pick-up time but took us 15 min to get to the office and then our booking was cancelled due to “no-show”. And we were not the only ones there with that issue. Ridiculous and terrible service. Never again!

Cons: They were trying to force us to take additional insurance.

Pros: Car was not cleaned properly inside. The inside of the windshield was filled with some greasy liquid (sunscreen lotion I think). I had to clean myself to see better the road. Body of the car has lots of scratches (took pictures of all) and it seemed like it had not been washed in quite some time.

Cons: Welcome was ok. They told me to get the car myself which I found unusual. Not much support after the paumer was done. Ride from and to the airport was ok.

Pros: There was a company shuttle from the airport to the company and back at the end of the rental period. It was very easy to get the car. and quick arrival from and to the airport. I received a detailed explanation regarding the advantages and disadvantages of renting a car using different methods and I received a good price for the rental period. Since I rented the car with full coverage against any accident with no deductible, the return of the car was immediate and without any delay. I was very

Cons: Since I was not completely familiar with the type of vehicle I rented, I would have expected to receive an explanation regarding the operation of the vehicle and its various systems, upon receiving the vehicle. Although I insisted and received an explanation from the company, I would have expected it to happen at the company's initiative. Such an explanation can make it easier for the renter to learn the use of the vehicle more quickly, in the most efficient way.

Pros: I had the worst car rental experience of my life. I rented a car and paid for full insurance. My flight was delayed, and although I told the rental company and DiscoverCars about the situation, I had to pass through a nightmare to get a car from GaldieriRent. On top of what I already paid (€ 174), GaldieriRent charged me another € 300. Furthermore, the agent (Fabrizio) was rude and downright insensitive, not to say unprofessional and unpleasant. DiscoverCars did nothing to solve the situation.

Cons: I had the worst car rental experience of my life. I rented a car and paid for full insurance. My flight was delayed, and although I told the rental company and DiscoverCars about the situation, I had to pass through a nightmare to get a car from GaldieriRent. On top of what I already paid (€ 174), GaldieriRent charged me another € 300. Furthermore, the agent (Fabrizio) was rude and downright insensitive, not to say unprofessional and unpleasant. DiscoverCars did nothing to solve the situation.

Pros: Nothing at all was good with this place. Everything about this interaction was exactly the opposite of a good welcome to Italy, including wait time and shuttle pick up.

Cons: The reception team's job was purely to upsell, but if you didn't buy their products you were left without breakdown cover which we couldn't risk. We waited for over an hour to pick up our car and were then told that we had gone over the 60 minute collection time and that there would be an additional charge. The car was fine, but one of the tyres was slightly flat. We should have spent more time inspecting it as we discovered a screw in the tyre when we reached our destination. Avoid!!!

Pros: The people at front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The location was not at airport. It was a long wait to get a vehicle. The people were very nice but it was very chaotic. When we dropped the car back off they didn't give us a receipt to prove we had dropped off and a day later got a call saying we hadn't dropped the car off. But, we had. One of the workers had grabbed the car immediately upon drop off. Not great communication amongst them.

Pros: The return rep was chill.

Cons: They expect you to collect the car with 59 minutes of your reserved time. It is next to an airport. One never knows if flights will be delayed or customs could take a while etc.

Pros: THEY ARE CROOKS. WE WERE 2 HOURS LATE ON OUR RESERVATION. THEY SAID IT WAS NOW EXPIRED BUT IF WE GOT EXTRA INSURANCE THEY WOULD REINSTATE IT. WE WERE FORCED TO AGREE OR LOSE OUR MONEY

Cons: I couldn’t find the rental pick up location. I tried calling the car rental place numerous times and they didn’t pick up the phone. I eventually arrived late and they’d cancelled my booking (despite pre-paying). I was charged an extra €130 euros to “rebook”, even though the car was there waiting for me.

Pros: The drop-off was easy

Cons: The car had tree sap all over it. There was no washer fluid in the reservoir. We really could not see through the windshield after we left the lot.

Cons: The service provided from the receptionist Patrizio was awful. He wanted to force us to cancel our insurance already paid and do another one with him, as we declined multiple times, he didn’t allow us to pick the car up. We waited more than 1:30h to get a “very” dirty car and he was sarcastic saying “he was giving us a present, upgrading the car”. He wasn’t professional with us and kept joking. Overall it was a very bad experience.

Cons: It seams that Goldieri first interested in making more money from the renter. If you buy their insurance it is OK to get the car 2 hours before the time in the reservation, and they treated you better. For the car ordered, Jeep Renegade, they have it only Diesel and they charge 2 Euro extra per day.

Pros: Excellent transfer from the airport to the rental office, fast pick-up, got what I was paying for

After refusing it, they simply gave me the keys to the car, and had to find it on my own in the parking lot (not a friendly gesture). When picking up the car one of the guys in the office was having a smelly fish lunch (not at all professional)

Pros: The car was very dirty and scratched and looked like it wasn't cleaned between renters. The seatbelt signal also would not stop for three minutes on every journey. But to be fair the company did offer an alternative car but we really wanted a Jeep.

We wasted a day of our vacation, and money on fuel to get a safe car. Both cars were dirty. Wind screen wipers didn't work. 2nd car was inferior model. I would like my money back. I was also charged an additional 200%when I picked up the car.

On arrival, I provide my driving license (Québec, Canada) and my international driving license where it was written on the rental document (Discovery Cars). GaldieriRent informs me I need to provide my passport which I show them a printed version of it. They tell me this will not work as they need the physical document. I explain to them that on the rental document (Discovery cars) that the document asked is a government issued Driving

Cons: Licence or passport which I respect. They have me two options, go back to Rome to pick up my passport and come back or pay an extra $390 euros to bypass the system. Also, Galdierirent mention to me that since we are almost 1 jour after my 5pm pick up time, I Will lose the réservation so I must call Discovery cars to inform them. This whole situation just pushed my against the wall to take a $390 euros extra protection plan I Didint need in the first place to avoid having to go back to Rome

Cons: Scammed out of 350 euros to buy additional insurance since my “credit card was not accepted” despite being accepted in all of my previous trips to Rome and other car rental companies. Quality of the car was a believably dirty and mechanically poor. Absolute scam.

Cons: I think it’s common to all car rental companies. They waste a lot of effort and energy to sell you something more or higher. First it was I don’t have the car you ordered but I can give you the diesel version, it’s gonna cost you more. Then suddenly the car is there but they give you something with 40k km. The car wasn’t clean inside. There was fruit waste inside. And I had to wait for 15 minutes for them to clean the outside. And then the car was all wet.

While waiting in line I witnessed the agent using the same tactic with multiple customers

Cons: Never answer the phone. Gave me the car empty, I had to negociate to make them put gas in it (even though we had booked full to full). We had to wait because they had to go to the station to put gas in it. Car was dirty all outside, difficult to see if they were scratches. When we gave it back, they asked to see the photos and videos we took before checking the car (to compare) and i refused, we lost a lot of time even the car was perfect without any incident.

Pros: Nothing. Car wasn’t very clean. One car had no washer fluid, ran out of oil and had a tire need total replacement. What a waste of our time while on holiday!! Why am I taking care of a rental car like it’s my own?!

Cons: We rented the car through discovery and our plane was quite delayed. I bought onboard wifi for $12 CAD just to let the rental company knoe. The only contact I had was to discovery. I emailed them and they responded telling me they’d let Galdieri know. They obviously didn’t. Galdieri gave away our rental and then charged us AGAIN for the rental we’d already paid for. We’ve been charged twice! Why?

Pros: The representative was helpful, he took his time to answer all our questions and tried his best to give us the car we needed, even though it wasn’t the car we booked. According to him he gave us an upgrade since we asked for an automatic transmission and the options were limited for that type. The drop off was very easy and fast. Let’s hope we don’t get any surprises eventually.

Cons: The representative tried to sell us an additional insurance stating that the coverage we purchased from discovercars.com was not sufficient nor useful! We declined the additional insurance as it was very expensive (around 35 euros per day)had to purchase the road assistance to feel more secure only to discover later that it was already provided by the coverage we purchased through our booking. This made us worry about the car and our trip and created some sort of an anxiety throughout our trip.

Pros: Super easy pickup (though I had to specify I had an insurance package already, I think through DiscoverCars) and drop-off. Really straightforward, I got a great car, perfectly functional and clean, and it was great for everything from highways to gravel roads in the middle of Tuscany.

Pros: Once we were able to find the airport shuttle pickup, checkout process was fairly quick and easy. Return process was very arduous with quick dismissal of the stated issues we had with the car but quick to charge for issues they identified that were not identified at pickup.

Cons: Where do I start, shuttle very confusing to find pickup location at terminal, car had numerous issues after we drove off lot (tire pressure issue, change oil light, back seatbelts were cut off,) be sure to check out for damage thoroughly and take pictures before leaving log. Don't bother with roadside assistance addition unless you speak Italian. We called for assistance, didn't speak English and said they'd have someone call us back (which of course they never did.)

The first car that was given to us.. had a bubble on the side of the tire.. if we didn’t notice it.. it could have been very dangerous.:(! So its very important to take lits of pictures and a complete video at pickup.. like we did.Also they tried to sell us additional insurance.. saying the one we had with discovery cars.. was not sufficient for Italy.

Pros: I would absolutely recommend Galdieri Rent. Great communication and great car. Finding the shuttle to the rental pick up for Galdieri at FCO is a bit tricky, but that’s more a function of the Rome airport being chaotic, rather than Galdieri. Galdieri’s directions are good (go upstairs and stand by the far lane in front of the control tower. Also, call Galdieri and let them know you’re waiting. They have EXCELLENT staff!)

Cons: We hired a toddler seat to go with the car, the first seat was unsuitable for our child’s weight, the second seat had a part missing so was unsuitable again, they finally found a car seat in a container, it was late night and dark when we collected but the next morning we noticed how dirty the seat was so we had to clean this before put our child back in. The pick up took a lot longer than expected and tried to sell us more insurance.
