Global Rent a Car at Larnaca Airport

Pros: The price for two weeks rental, we were picked up at the airport in 5 minutes of arriving.had the car passed over all within 15 minutes ,staff very efficient and friendly. The car helped us to get around, unlimited mileage which helped us explore the island of Cyprus. 10 poi of 10

Pros: Quick, precise and correct people. They do the job efficiently and do not try to charge unrequested services or fees. They check the car with you and honestly point-out old scratches already present

Cons: The provided car was not nice, old, spotted and scratched.

Cons: Masks not worn by other car hirers in the minibus & not addressed by the driver. Please could direction be given to go upstairs in the terminal on arrival as I wandered around trying to find the transfer bus on the wrong level, had to call the desk then couldn’t get back inside to get upstairs. It worked out but it could have been good if I’d have gone upstairs first.

Pros: On return, the South African gentleman who dealt with me was great. Pleasant and polite and efficient.

Cons: Disgrace of a car. Advertised as a Kia Ceed or similar I was instead met with an EIGHT year old beat up Toyota Aqua. Radio didn't work and there were other issues I can't be bothered to list. Suffice to say I was not given what I paid for.

Cons: There was no car for me. I tried to contact the local agent, and I was able to do that only the following day, when he informed me that he had no car for me at all!!! And he had informed DiscoverCars but they did not inform me at all!!! Total breakdown, and on top of that DiscoverCars does not assume any responsibility!!!! They only offered to refund the money that I paid (through email communication only, consuming more time off my life!!!), and that also they did it wrong (did not refund 45$).

Pros: Nice service. There is a person with a Global Renat a Car sign at the arrivals. She took us to the shuttle and then couple of minutes later we were at the car rental's desk. Agents were very officient, didn't try selling any other services, just asked do I need any of those. 5 min later I was already at the car. Quick and efficient service.

Cons: cheated about insurance i have already paid the insurance via internet, nevertheless, I also had to pay locally for another insurance premium (+75EUR!!!). Then why did I have to pay for online insurance as well? This is unacceptable for me. In addition the drop off place should have to open 0-24, even so they was not open, nobody was there and I had to call them...

Cons: Cars are not properly maintained. Had 3 different cars over 7 days. First car wouldn't even start out of the car lot. Second car wouldn't start while we where out and about (2 hours from our home). Had to stop several random people on the street to ask for jumper cables late at night. The car was old and quite beaten up. Had to go full throttle for the car to go 100 km/h on the highway, while doing so it would make a lot of noise. Overall not a nice experience while traveling with a toddler.

We had a flat tire (puncture) and we just had to drive to the nearest office and they changed the car for us (we even got a better car for the remaining days!) . We did had to change the tire, but we had all the things necessary in the car trunk. All the personnel we met in both offices very helpful and nice.

Cons: The basic car (Nissan March) is a very basic car. No complaints because it was very cheap, just mentioning so can choose a better category.

Pros: Other services rejected me renting (maybe due to COVID-19). Global Rent gave me a car in one hour. I only made the order and went to pick up it without any delay.

Cons: When i had a breakdown the service took 2 hours+ to respond with many phone calls and much frustration in between. The staff were dishonest and unsupportive when telling me the wait times. This changed every phone call. In the end the call centre didn't take my calls when a no show happened and i tried to follow up. Simply dreadful and discomforting experience!

Pros: Shuttle to reach the pickup location, and service was overall good. Prices are good.

Cons: The extra insurance cost we were asked to pay. The fact they didn't include the second driver from the start. The car was not the anywhere near what I ordered. The fact we had to return the car earlier in the day than we took it. They were just out to make money from us as tourists.

Cons: They did not accept debit card for pre-authorisation (stated that this was an acquirer bank's restriction). Therefore, purchase on deposit amount was performed at rental. After car return, they performed merchandise return on deposit amount, but that transaction is not yet effective.

Pros: Our pick up rep was very thorough. This was the first time I'd driven a vehicle on the right side of the vehicle on the left side of the roadway. The rep was detailed, systematic and showed me clearly what the differences were and how to effectively operate this vehicle as this was a new experience for me. His English was quite good. i also shared concerns about off road driving as there had been negative reviews on this company by severe Google reviewers. I wanted clarification about this.

Cons: Not dissatisfied. It took a little longer than most of my more recent car rental experiences but it was not objectionable. The drop off rep was good with me regarding filling the tank. It was very early in the morning and I couldn't find a gas station to fill.

Pros: U have the baddest service i ever seen! This is the first time I'm using this site, i will never recommend on it. I'm flying every few months and using other app, i tried your site and become very disappointed, will shuorly publish this case in my Facebook profile.
