Cons: I was double charged, first by Discover Cars, without them I would not go to Goldcars and then by your assistant who made me sign a contract with full cover, not deducting 188 Euro I p[aid to Discover Cars platform. I hope I will get this money back. If not, 10 days loan of a Ford Puma would be 518 Euro. The car had dents all over the body. I was quite stressed when picking it up at 10 pm, without any assistance from the desk on the 2nd floor of Rent a car parking. Your care only for revenue.

Cons: After going to the counter when my number was called I was told I would have to go back in the queue because I had booked through a rental agent. If I paid 40 euro I could be seen straight away. After waiting again I was shown different cars which I was pressured into which were more expensive which I didn't want. I was then told because I booked through an agency the fully com insurance wouldn't cover me. I then had to pay more for insurance. My 150 euro car ended up costing me 460 euro.

Cons: We had huge queues to wait while we observed people claiming they would never use Goldcar again. We didn’t opt for extra insurance on 8th June as we had our own and were still feeling bad because we paid an unnecessary insurance expense of €206 when we rented on 23rd May. We were charged €218 for a scratch on the underside of the front bumper that we did not cause and have to pay because we cannot prove we didn’t do it. We don’t blame the staff we met, they were doing their job. We blame Goldcar

Found some after having left the rental facility, too late to document. On return was met by a surly operative who tried to say that there was a paint scratch where clearly there was not. Pros: Car was covered in scratches and the majority wasn’t logged on the damages sheet, woman at the 2 floor counter was very rude and unhelpful. Car stunk of smoking aswell.

Cons: I had to spend an hour pointing out damages on the car when picking it up and they didn’t seem interested, but on the other hand when I dropped it off they were very interested in every mark/scratch/dent to the point they were using flash lights. I’m just very glad I pointed out all the damage when I picked it up and got it logged. Terrible company, would not of used them if I had seen gold cars reviews prior (shocking), almost feels like the company wouldn’t think twice about scamming you.

Mileage policy
In Sevilla, Malaga, Jerez, Alicante, Valencia, Reus, Murcia, Gerona mileage is limited up to 120 km per day.

Mileage is limited in Madrid, Barcelona.
For rentals lasting 1 to 3 days, mileage is limited to 350 km per day.
For rentals lasting 4 to 6 days, mileage is limited to 250 km per day.
For rentals lasting 7 to 14 days, mileage is limited to 150 km per day.
For rentals of 15 days or more, mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional km. To access unlimited mileage, the customer can purchase an Additional Mileage option for an extra fee. The amount of this fee depends on the vehicle group.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A novice driver fee will apply to drivers who have held their driver license for less than 4 years.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card. If the customer takes the following extra equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card. A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
Payment policy
The following payment methods are accepted: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: CHIP verification, PIN verification, Embossed; cards without this capability will not be accepted.

The daily limit on the card used for payment must be high enough to cover the deposit. Otherwise, purchase of the following insurance policy(ies): Super Relax Cover is mandatory.
The main driver's full first and last name must be on the credit card without abbreviations.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Moving the car from one island to another is forbidden.
From Spain, only travel to Andorra, France is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Bilbao, Santander, Oviedo, Barcelona, Reus, Gerona, Pamplona. From Spain, only travel to Portugal, Gibraltar is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Granada, Sevilla, Malaga, Almeria, Jerez, Sancti Petri.
From Spain, only travel to Portugal is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Gibraltar.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.
Optional extras are subject to the following additional charge(s): Premium Location surcharge, Airport Surcharge.

Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
A full battery lasts around 150 km (this is an estimate as it depends on several factors).
If the customer runs out of battery and is stranded with the vehicle, requiring help from our roadside assistance, please keep in mind that this service is not covered by the rental insurance nor by any additional policy (the customer is always liable for all costs involved).
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 28 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number.
Pick up outside of business hours is not available in Reus Airport. Service outside of business hours is not available from 23:01 to 06:59.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
