Cons: Price got up 6 times at pick up compared with what was shown at website purchase.

Cons: 1. The car had an expired decal for which we received a ticket. Upon bringing this to the attention of staff, we got told not to worry about it. When returning the car we asked a member of staff about this and got told that we need to pay the fee...let's see. 2. The car needs an oil change. 3. Empty screen wash reservoir. 4. Dirty, and I mean dirty child seats. One of them had dried up vomit stuck in creases. 5. No help from staff installing them. 6. Fuel tank wasn't full. Never seen this.

When I challenged it, they smchanged their tone and say it's company policy. And it's $15 per day. So they say they cannot rent me a car and asked me step aside. They closed my reservation and asked me to call an Uber to get back to the airport. So I am stuck and relented my fine, I'll pay $15/day. But now my booking is closed and to reopen it, it's another $15 per day!

An amount that we were not told in advance. 3. As I wrote above, the case where our car was towed due to the owner's debt (foreclosure) with all our luggage - the incident ruined our trip. The company initially tried to accuse me of having parked illegally and they refused to drive us or order us a taxi and we had to prove the truth.

Cons: I agreed on a price with Discovery Cars and found myself with all these unnecessary charges that I had to pay.

Cons: They advisement is misleading, publishing and displaying incomplete information during the time of reservation, such as the fact you are purchasing full coverage insurance for your vehicle, only to find out after you finalize the reservation that the so called "full coverage" does not include liability. Additionally, they try to force you to rent their local device to pay for tolls even if you already have one or you are not planning to drive through areas where there are no tolls.

Cons: Incredibly unhelpful, when after being involved in an accident I asked HDC to pick me up (this was covered by my insurance for this cost). It got worse......my car hire policy specifically stated that I would be charged up to a maximum $5000 for any repairs. On multiple occasions I asked for the repair bill so as to confirm the actual cost. If the cost of repair was less than the $5000 stated on the policy, I would be due a refund. Despite many attempts, no reply. Questionable ethics??

Pros: DropOff was surprisingly quick and without any claims. The guy who did it was so kind to drive us to the point where we needed to continue the journey.

Pros: I booked a car through Discover Cars and I also paid for the full coverage on top of it. At pick up, HDC insisted that I take another additional insurance. After I refused, they had me sign a document to accept additional liability in case of damage. Finally to compensate they had me pay another $40 PER DAY which doubled the price, "because my VISA card was a debit card not a credit card". They refused to provide a document showing they had the right to ask for the additional $40.

I don't understand why they are well noted. They also had me water for +40 minutes at drop off and this stressed me for my flight.

They also said I needed an international driver's permit (which wasn't stated on the Discoverycars website. At 1am it was a pretty tense situation. However it got resolved and all were satisfied.

Cons: I purchased full insurance coverage from Discover. When picking up the car, the rental agency refused to give me a receipt. "We'll email you a receipt" they said. When I finally received the email I realized why they wouldn't give it to me on the spot: they tacked on another $200 for duplicate insurance. It's just a cheap scam.

Pros: The company upgraded the car for no additional cost. I was a single person on a business trip, so I did not need the larger car they gave me. But they did not have the small car I had requested.

Pros: The service was very poor. Airplane arrived later, I notified this. HDC car rental took advantage of the situation to give me another car, higher rate with additional expenses.

Cons: Never going back. I kept contacting them through email, never received reply. Car keys batteries were low, therefore the car would not lock.

Cons: I called at the airport as instructed, and the HDC representative didn’t speak English and then when someone who spoke English came on the phone they was rude and said a shuttle was on the way to take us to the rental centre however after 25 minutes waiting we realised no one was coming and called back to be hanged up on. So in the end we never received the car that we paid for

Cons: This is a SCAM company - they use a bait and switch fraud. They offer you a cheap online rental and then when you arrive they are out of cars. They then refer you to another company (which they share the building with) who offer you the same car but at a mark-up of 3-4 times. Because their offices are so far from the airport car rental centre many people have no choice but to accept the offer from this supposed other company (which is obviously run by the same family).

Every rental car I ever rented allows you to use your own insurance. All that is required is a security deposit. They advertise a low price and then give you excuses for nonsense fees. Their driver at the airport did not speak English. I showed my confirmation and he still did not know if I was their customer.

I was advised, "It's state law". I am a local resident and very familiar with the state laws and the supposed laws, which were declared by HDC, do not exist. I would have much rather been told; it is the company policy.

Gave us a car we barley fit in and then the car had so many indicator lights on at the dash board that made you think it was broke. We were going to try to exchange it the following day but they still didn’t have anything bigger. Then we found out that our second car reservation was at a completely different company. We ended up canceling bc they also didn’t have a mini van.

Cons: We had to take the sun pass toll pass. This added an extra $200 to our bill, which was extremely excessive. The car was not very clean to the standard we would expect. We returned the car cleaner than we received it. We also had to put down a $1000 retainer for the car for any damage, however, we only received $996 back with no explanation for the $4 charge. Everything seemed very vague when taking out the car, we felt uneasy.
