Pros: Nothing. The staff were rude, arrogant and pleased to inform me that your insurance was worthless and I needed to buy more insurance. The salesman was haughty, slow and unfriendly. Similarly, the return experience was truly miserable.

Cons: Everything. The staff were unhelpful, unfriendly, and pleased to extort more money from me. Utter charlatans.

Pros: car was in a good condition

Cons: Hello, I've ordered a voucher for a car with Hertz. The fuel terms I've ordered were same to same. Hertz representative claims that their terms is full to empty, charged me for a full tank, for 65 euros. I've explained I'm not going to drive as much and that's why I've ordered same to same. Her name is Mariella, from Hertz larnaca airport. please refund me.

Cons: The Hertz operator at the pick up desk enforces a full-to-empty policy that costed me EUR 80. When I showed him the contract I had with Discover Car, his reaction was “well, this is Hertz policy, you should always come directly to us”. And when I tried to get in touch with Discover, it didn’t happen (see above)

Cons: We didnt get the car we had ordered and the 'similar' car was not of the same quality. Our car seat wasnt ready, we had to wait an hour for the car seat after travelling with two children all day. When we brought up the car wasn't the right one, they weren't all that friendly about it.

Cons: Tried to explain that a Corolla was the same as an Audi A4, which is BS. This is a bait and switch routine. I ordered an A4 and they said a Corolla was "equivalent" so I had to pay more to get an SUV instead, since the Corolla would not fit our bags. Very disappointing.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 715.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Rate excludes
The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Accident Administration fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): EU countries.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Booked extras are not guaranteed. All extras are subject to availability at the rental counter.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Additional information
In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.

Winter tires are not mandatory in Cyprus.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 29 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
