Cons: The hidden costs that came up It was extremely hard to find the way back into the hertz car park The hertz rep said the car had no damage but in pre delivery I spotted a whole heap of damage and was told that didn’t matter as it was smaller than a twenty cent piece

Cons: I found them slow at the desk, when I rang them about the malfunction of cruise control, they weren’t paticault helpful, explained to me that I can still drive it on the throttle…and when I xplained I wanted to bring it in and change for another, I was told oh we don’t organise that here, you can pull up at the next hertz and explain it to them and see if they can help you. My wife called the desk where we got the car, only to be told that the only option was to bring the car back there ~1500km

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English. For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
