Pros: The guy at the desk tricked us into buying second insurance although we had Full Coverage from Discover. We told him several times we do not need extra insurance nor did we need the Fuel Option but that also somehow got charged to my card. The Hertz employee mislead and lied to us and tricked us into accepting a total of 200 euro of surcharges.
Cons: Horrible, borderline fraud.

Cons: Hertz called me 2 days before my arrival and told me that they are closed at my landing hour. I asked for a solution and they told me to cancel my booking without providing any help. I had to send someone to pick up the car earlier. When my friend arrived, they didn’t had any available cars. He had to wait 2 hours. Then, they charged my another 72 euro so I could drive the car as a second driver.

Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
