Pick-up instructions
Offices are currently located outside of the Miami Airport, for pick up please give a call to 1-800-6471058 from a public phone AFTER collecting all of your luggage. Courtesy Shuttle will pick you up at the Miami Rental Car Center. You will be able to pick up the MIA Mover at the Airport (3rd floor) which will take you to Rental Car Center. Once you arrive at the Rental Car Center please proceed to the left and look for the sign OFF AIRPORT RENTAL CAR SHUTTLE. Proceed past that sign to the next sign, which indicates SHUTTLES, and follow that outside to pickup area 4 or 5.

Pros: The only good thing is the call center, the rest is not worth it.

Cons: They offer a car and price on the website, when you get there, they don't have the car and force you to stay with the one they want, also they make you pay a lot of extra fees and it's way more expensive than the price you saw online. Definitely I will never rent a car with them again, neither recommend to anyone.

Cons: It's my belief that Horspower Car Rental is a scam operation disguised as a rental car agency. They're extremely skilled in trapping you into scenarios where you end up paying far more than you would have if you had just gone with one of the more expensive, reputable rental agencies. They won. I lost.

Cons: Unclear pickup directions, waited for pick-up at airport. Not very friendly person at reception. Needed to produce entire declarations information for insurance -- never have, ever, had to do that for a rental car. Woman at reception was snotty. I also was surprised that she charged a $1K deposit -- even though we were using a credit card. That seems pretty hokey.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Limited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 2360.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Rate excludes
E-Toll is not mandatory, however, all of the rental cars are equipped with a SunPass/e-toll transponder that is glued to the windshield of the car and is not removable.
Prepaid tolls are available for 13.95 USD per day.
E-Toll/Sunpass activation fee is 7.95 USD per day. Personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
If the customer declines Toll pass / E-toll device, a penalty of 25.00 USD for each toll used in addition to the cost for each paid or unpaid toll will apply.
Mileage policy
For renters from the following country(ies): USA - Florida, mileage is Limited.
Mileage is limited to 50 miles per day.
For each additional mile an additional charge of 0.75 USD per mile will apply.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 70.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, ID card, credit card on a main drivers name.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.

It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, Diners.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Toll pass / E-toll device, Cell phone.

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 20 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 60 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
