Pros: We were given an upgrade due to them not having the car I booked available
Cons: It was done through the Goldcar desk, and the lady there spent more time than anything else telling us that the Discovercars extended insurance we had purchased was not good and didn't cover everything and that we should spend 4 times as much on their own insurance
Pros: No waiting time at the desk.
Cons: I tried 4 times to check in online at home, but it didn‘t work.
Pros: Efficient and no nonsense
Cons: It wasn't clear if the pick up desk was in the airport or car park but as they were close it didn't really matter. There's always a hard sell on the extra insurance.
Pros: Nothing,it was a Gold Car office and their treatment of clients is little less than disgraceful.
Cons: The threats relating to insurance....I took out extra cover insurance with Discovercars but was told that that wasn't enough and that a scratch to the car could cost 1,000€ given that the car had more than 9 scratched and dents it would have been difficult to find a new place to scratch. They took 1,400€ from my credit card for this and 145€ for petrol so in the first day of our holiday 1,645€ was blocked on my card with the threat of a scratch costing me 1,000€+.
Cons: Extra charges felt like being conned. Wish I’d stuck with a premium provider.
