Pros: Super fast picking up and dropping the car off. The agents were all friendly and didn’t push to upsell me on nonsense. One of the better experiences I’ve had with a rental company.

Cons: The car was a bit banged up/scratched but I think that’s fairly normal in Italy. Tire condition, engine, glass, etc all the stuff that matters was great.

Once I got to an agent, she was not able to give me contact to sign, they did non know what they can find. She asked me to wait for 20 min. After 20 min. Cons: Italy Car Rent left us stranded on the roadside for 5 hours until past 9:30pm! The first car we picked up had flat tire. Took 30mins waiting on the phone to finally talked to the agent. Told us tow truck will come in an hour. After 3.5 hours waiting on the roadside and with multiple communication with the rental agent, we got a call from the tow truck dispatcher saying they don’t have our exact location. The car rental agent didn’t give them our location even those have sent them our exact GPS.

Pros: Good experience and support from the rental company.

Cons: Had some trouble with getting back to the parking garage to return the car as it was not easily marked and communicated in any of the materials provided. We also had to walk several blocks from the rental counter to the garage to pick up the car which was not easy with luggage, crowds, etc.

Pros: Italy Car Rent was so kind and helpful! They answered all my questions and were so gracious with us through the process. Would rent with them again!

Cons: They were a bit understaffed at the front desk. It did not impact me as much, but not long after my rental was finished, they had a long line of people and only one to two people covering. The employees were great and helpful even with the long line, but highly recommend the company to provide support for their desk staff with one or two more people.

Pros: The vehicle was great and the agents were friendly and helpful.

Cons: I didn’t know where exactly to drop off the vehicle since I was returning it in different city. So I had to park the car and ask the front desk agent where the garage was to drop it off, as that was the address that was provided on my invoice. Nobody was answering the phone numbers provided on the invoice either.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Renters from the following country(ies): United Kingdom must provide the following documents: credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, photocard driving licence in order to collect the car.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: American Express, Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

The following payment methods are accepted: American Express, Cash, Diners, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, MasterCard debit card.
Additional insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)) must be purchased if using the following payment method(s): Cash, Debit cards, Prepaid cards.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.

Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days. If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
